86 views, wow, but no answers.

Not candy fruit does not compute with me. Good fruit tastes like candy to me, it has a lot of flavor and a lot of sugar. So that qualification leaves me thinking you want grocery store fruit flavors which would be distilled water to my tastes.
So although I'm one of those views my opinion on what fruit tastes like doesn't mesh with your described desire. Plus I don't know bought liquids.

Diy or die made a watermelon one shot ( and has posted the recipe ) called watermalone which people say taste ( grimm green included ) like authentic watermelon.

Inwara raspberry seems pretty realistic, not sweet. Its very strong so you only need 0.6 percent in a mix. Hm. I dont vape commercial juices anymore, sorry. there is a youtube channel called diyordie where they do “noted “ shows, that explain the taste of flavorings, like raspberry for example.

“Natural” does not compute with flavorings. The way they make “natural flavorings” is make the artificial flavoring, then find “natural” elements that can be anything but have the same chemical makeup and mix them together. Several exotic tree bark extracts are widely used iirc. A “natural flavoring” has the same chemical composition as an artificial one, it just comes from different sources.

This is different than “naturally flavored” where they actually have to use the actual object. There are very few things, mostly citrus oils, that will actually work as natural flavors though. (Again as opposed to flavorings)

Sorry, not necessarily so. It is true that many so-called natural flavors are not what people think.
The biggest difference with the true natural flavorings is the lack of penetrating odor typical with most synthetic flavoring molecules. Some are so penetrating powerful you can smell them through the plastic bottle. I have 86ed more than one watermelon vaper out of my office.
NONE of the natural fruit flavors I vape stink up the house. There is very little, if any residual room odor when I vape fruits.
I've read about this. Now that I'm getting the hang of mixing and preferring the less sweeter flavors I find I'm more curious about natural organic flavors. Been lurking on a couple threads on ELR.

I stand by my statement. Natural flavorings are generally orders of magnitude more expensive than artificial ones so it is reasonable the would be more parsimonious with their chemicals

Just read "Fast food nation," at least the uh, section on "Flavor labs." I might not so much read the chapter on slaughterhouses, unless you want to go vegetarian for at least a bit.

Basically, "natural and artificial flavors" have two distinctions, people will pay more for "natural" flavors, and one starts out as a thing found in nature (but can be doctored to toxicity by flavor labs into whatever they WANT.)

My new favorite category today is "infused." This seems to be some sort of "ultra rich" designation and my mother deeply loves her "mango infused" uh, sparkling water. I genuinely think that it is hard to "infuse" mango (which I guess, in a tea has a definition "soak for 15 minutes" although there are other definitions) into a beverage and change the taste enough that like, you wind up with zero calories. Maybe. But I have tasted said "mango infused" water and I can pretty much guarantee they may have STARTED with the mango, processed it heavily, and then inserted whatever chemical compound into it for fifteen minutes, or longer, IDK.

It just... It doesn't taste like mango FOR ONE although it doesn't taste bad, I taste plenty of chemical but perhaps that is because I do not credulously believe that someone, somewhere, is plopping fresh, juicy slices of mango ON A commercial basis into "fresh artisanal" swiss naturally occurring spring water, etc.

Perception though, that's big bucks. Also I can say after trying various vape flavorings, this stuff is just UBIQUITOUS. Take coconut, it was eerily similar to the (overpriced) Greek yoghurt I so enjoy, and also in some beverages. Unless it says 100% natural (and even sometimes, when it does), I'd say its a safe bet that even flakes of "toasted coconut" may have a dribble or two of flavoring coated on them.

And, I remain pretty unstressed about all of it, because frankly, I'm not going to go live off the grid and raise chickens. I'm just NOT. Some of the more "natural" tasting flavors (to me) are probably derived from compound 3756138ABV-3.

I've given up caring, but I will say you can achieve natural TASTEW without "naturally flavored." Some stuff is harder than others.

I'm just saying.... You don't have to LIMIT your search to natural, organic flavors unless you feel you MUST but you may equally wind up with something worse TASTING, and paying more for the premise that "natural flavors" are necessarily good for you.

They just aren't.

It seems many makers use the same flavors that have this way too sweet 'candy flavor' that I just cannot stand.
Copper creek did not. The raspberry I love so much was only slightly sweet and had a 'tang' finish at the end.
That's what i'm looking for. A lot of makers put in too much sweetner and this candy thing that tastes like a lollipop. That is what I want to avoid, hate it.
I wondering what juices other Copper Creek users have gone to. I still have cases of Boge cartos that I use a 60p/40v mix in. The only full vg I use is the Copper Creek 'House Blend' and I'm running out of it too.

Been getting my juices from Copper Creek for years and they closed. Now I'm looking for a Raspberry with a natural taste and a bit of tang on the end as I'm about to run out.
Every other juice I've tried all have the 'candy' flavor (yuck).

Looking for natural flavors, please help.
Thanks!

Well if you're talking pre-made then I'd suggest Lemon Twist stuff, their pink lemonade (I think) is pretty good, however sometimes it does have the candy(ish) lemon drop flavor. Personally I think those taste pretty close to real lemon though, just with a touch of sugar. Their peach blossom tastes kind of floral to me but I have friends that swear it's their favorite peach because it doesn't taste like the candy rings.

I'd check out places that offer sample sizes and just buy the flavors that seem interesting, then you're only out a couple of dollars per bottle. I actually just did this with EC just to try some things that are out of my wheel house. It cost me more per ml but $2.50 for 5 ml is fair to me, as I'm basically paying mostly for the bottle. That beats paying $7 to $15 or more, for something I've never tried and may hate.

Local shops are good options for tasting if you have the time and/or decent shops. I rarely have time to hang out and taste things, plus most shops here no longer have tester attys or limited flavors if they do. Most want you to bring an RDA and try on your own device. It's great that I can taste something in my rig but then again it can be a pain as well. Then some shops just put a drop on your hand to try, I don't like that personally, due to taste changing with temp.

I say best bet trial sizes and reading reviews and/or local, good luck and happy hunting.

Been doing that. Always the 'candy taste' or overloaded with the sweet additive.

Well part of the problem is going to be that these flavorings are what they use to make candy, so there's always going to be that somewhat candy taste. That leaves going to places that let you make your own mix and they do it for you, you'd be able to cut out the sweetener.

You could try looking into some of those Vegan branded juices, I've never tried any but have heard good things. Unfortunately I think they are expensive.

You might like Zeus juices for fruits. Highbrow Vapor does fruits well too. Zeus are sweeter but good for stand alone single fruits.

I second Highbrow and would definitely recommend giving them a shot. It's been a while since I've ordered from them, but they were the first vendor to come to mind when I read the OP.

I would check out some of the flavour art fruits they are known generally for their realism and strength. I'm not an expert on Raspberry but from what I've read it seems to be a problematic fruit to work with. Maybe some careful mixing with other zesty fruits could change the profile into something better while still leaving the raspberry predominant.:)
