Looking for new mod?

The Evic VT has a 5000mAh battery even, 5010 to be exact if you do the math.

And yeah, that's what I bought for myself a few weeks ago. I didn't recommend it because it's somewhat outdated compared to the ones I mentioned before but if you don't need the latest tech it still is a really nice device. I just wish it could do SS in TC mode as well since I find these titanium coils a bit hard to wrap at times. It is pretty heavy though, but I guess that is to be expected with that much battery in there.

It is heavier than an iStick 30 or even 50W, but lighter than the iStick 100 or 100W TC.

I was also looking at the Tesla 60W that garnered a lot of great reviews. It also has a built in 3600 mAh battery, but I'm not too keen on the button placement.

I'm all about battery life with my mods, since I hate running out of a charge during workdays. The heavy mods stay at home, same as the single 18650 mods.

Production was only suspended. The vtc5 is nothing special though. A good battery, but 20 amps like the LG he4, Samsung 25r, LG hg2 and others.

If you want a simple vv/vw mod with built-in battery, I own and always recommend iStick 30, 40, or Cool Fire 4 (better quality, but bigger and heavier), and Vision Defender 36w. If you're looking for a small mod with replaceable batteries, try any of the Kanger Kbox minis (with or without TC) or an eVic VTC mini. The new Eleaf Pico is also getting good reviews, but maybe too small for the K4. Fasttech is having a 15% off sale on Sunday, and some of those mods can be found there for a very good price (Codes "DEALS" or "LABORDAY").

Wow thank you, this is very helpful. I already pulled the trigger on a kbox mini platinum but this battery chart is very helpful. Kudos. I also picked up some titanium 28g just to try and see if TC is the way or not with a KF4. I'm skeptical to it but I can't pass up the apparent juice savings TC provides.

sorry for the noob question but i have no experience with replaceable battery vv vw mods. can you pretty much use any (quality) 18650 in it and the chip will adapt? does battery amperage matter with these type of mods? I have a vtc 3 and a purple efest sitting in my desk..

For safety you are going to want to use at least a 20amp (true test rating, not the rating on the wrap) battery. Efest is pretty notorious for overstating their claims on the wrap so if you have $9 I would get an LG HG2. But look your battery up on ECF first, maybe someone tested it at over 20A continuous (not pulse) discharge so it would be safe.

Kbox mini offers no temperature control mode--just straight vv/vw. The Kbox mini that comes in the topbox kit is an upgrade: 75W, TC, spring loaded center pin, bigger screen. Same size.

At your wattage a 10a battery is fine. RTD is a reputable source for batteries.

Many mods seem to be disposable these days. I have a Radius, it will properly outlast me. But, it is gifted in my will, so it will continue on, I suppose.

whats your budget? Personally not a fan of kanger products, its popular on the forums, online and in B&M stores but personally I've had bad experience with one of them.

I agree with Rice 721, there are a lot better mods for the price. The Evic Mini, The Cuboid, The Pico, the IPV5. For pocket friendly, my vote goes to the Cuboid. I have one as my out and about device and it is pocket friendly as well as dual battery. The Pico I have as a little stealth pocket mod. It was too small and fun not to get one but you will be limited on tanks that fit it (22 mm). The IPV5 is my new favorite and a new IPV400 is coming soon, that will be like the IPV5 but more compact. The IPV5 is a bit big for carrying around in my opinion. Don't limit yourself to one device, it's always good to have a back up in case your main device breaks down.

^^ with how affordable mods are these days you can purchase 2, 1 for at home 1 for out and about.

Pico 75W with TC is great for outdoor use, if you're using it in power mode and don't go above 40W that single 18650 3000mah (lg hg2 or samsung 30q) can last you at LEAST half a day.

Cuboid 150W (200W with firmware upgrade but its dual 18650s so not likely true 200W) with TC is also a great mod for its price, a little hefty but form factor is great.

Reuleaux RX200 200W with TC (250W with firmware upgrade) is another option, there is/was 510 issues where longer 510 attys void the warranty and causes your 510 pin to get stuck on the mod BUT I'm guessing 80% of the attys out there won't cause this issue.

The above mentioned 3 mods can all be had for around $30 - $35 each, if you shop around.

The only downside is you're going to need quite a few batteries and spares. LG HG2s and Samsung 30Qs get my vote due to their mah capacity, both at 3000mah and 20A (samsung 30q is rated 15A but it can handle 20A without issues according to mooch's review).

Lots of mods that take removable batteries allow charging via USB directly to the device. I don't know the pros/cons of this as I don't have one.

I do have an iStick 30 that has been my main vape for a while. I would definitely try the iStick 50 if it is similar, these things have withstood every kind of abuse I could throw at them. And I throw a lot of abuse at them.

I just ordered a Hanamodz V4m to use as I start exploring RDA's. I think there are cheaper units that can be had with a lot of the same features but it's made in the USA so that's cool
