Hello, i recently went to vaping to try and quit smoking. I was at 2 packs of Marlboro's a day. I am a software engineer so you can imaging i chain smoke while working on my computer. I recently bought a MVP 3.0 and an Atlantis tank which is awesome for when i'm at home! However, the tank it alittle bulky and hard to carry around i am wondering if there is anything out there that i can just transfer the tank to something alittle more portable. I noticed that when i am at school or out with friends its a pain to have that thing in my pocket!

Also, on another topic since transferring to vaping instead of smoking i have had some bad headaches in the first week and got a cancer sore in my mouth. Is this just from the extra BS they put in real Cigs that i am withdrawing from? I will say that when i do smoke a real cig i can't stand the burnt taste anymore and it's actually pretty disgusting to me. The only time i really feel like having one is when i am having my morning coffee. Don't know if that is just habbit or if i need a good morning flavor juice. Right now im jumping between nillianair, space jam Eclipse, turkish blend and watermellon juice which i enjoy all these but any other recommendations?

thanks for answering my newb questions!

Hello sublimeaces and welcome to the forum. As to reactions for quitting smoking this link should have the answers http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...hen-quitting-tobacco-changing-ecigarette.html

I use the Aspire Nautilus Mini on an iStick 50W, but I doubt it is much of a difference from what you are using size wise.

Good luck in the "juice quest" there's only 1000 more juices to try, I only have 900 left....

Enjoy the journey.

Welcome to ECF sublime, make yourself right at home :)

    What about an iStick? :?: There's a 10W, 20W, 30W, and a 50W, all fairly small.
And yes, you will have some withdrawal symptoms, everyone varies somewhat. That first cig of the morning is just a tough one, try a tobacco or something, move to a new morning spot, vape hard!

IMO, the MVP + clearotank is a pretty portable device for on the go. I often kept my MVP + cartotank in a front pocket of my pants or jacket pocket when I used mine.

There are smaller form-factor mods available. The high wattage regulated iStick mods are smaller, and depending upon the wattage model you choose, will have all of the power of your MVP, but probably lacking in the battery time. You compromise battery time for size. Regardless, it should have several hours of use available.

I currently use a Provari from Provape. It is a high end regulated tube mod. I use a Kayfun Lite Plus RTA. A little long in my pocket, but I don't mind if a little sticks out.

Could be some withdrawal symptoms from all the other chemicals which were in cigarette smoke. Most likely the headaches are from too much nicotine or being dehydrated. Try dropping the nic level of your next e-liquids purchased.

Make sure you are increasing your water intake since vaping. The Pg & Vg in e-liquid is quite drying to the mouth and throat. Replenish.

Choice of flavors and brands is pretty much hit or miss unless you have a vape shop nearby where you can try the flavors prior to buying them. Some online vendors offer sample packs, whereby you can try a variety in smaller samples, and when you find one you like you can order a larger bottle.

    Hello and welcome to ECF!
As far as headaches go, it could be a number of things. Vaping dehydrates you pretty thoroughly, so my first recommendation would be to make sure you always drink plenty of water while vaping. The number one cause of headaches is dehydration, and new vapers tend to either forget that or not know about it. It may also be your nic level needs adjusting, or possibly the withdrawal as you mentioned. I know that when I quit smoking and started vaping (both on the same day), I spent the next few months feeling exceptionally weird. I was cranky and disoriented. I got headaches, too, but when I learned about how important it was to stay hydrated the headaches stopped immediately. But yeah, it was definitely withdrawal from all the extra garbage they put in smokes. I had quit smoking before and recognized the symptoms, though they were considerably more manageable than when I tried to quit without vaping. After a few months, I felt fine.

Normally, I don't recommend devices with non-replaceable batteries, but you might really like the Eleaf iStick 30 watt. It's only slightly larger than a bic lighter. It will only last a year or two (assuming you treat it nicely and be careful with the buttons, as they are known to be fragile), but it's relatively cheap and very small. If you want to step up to using a replaceable battery mod, I recommend the Sigelei Mini 30 Watt, which is also pretty tiny and takes a single 18650 IMR rechargeable battery. Just make sure you get batteries that are rated at 20 amps or higher, and invest in a good charger like the Nitecore Intellicharger line.

For juice recommendations, I would suggest going on youtube and checking out reviews. Ruby Roo does a lot of juice reviews, and she's a former wine taster so she has a very refined palate and knows how to talk about flavors. She's also got loads of personality and is quite entertaining. Abby Vapes is another reviewer who does a lot of juice, and she's very pleasant to watch. Big Lou of Big Lou's East Coast Review is another one who talks about juice a lot, though he's a super-sub-ohmer and mostly reviews juice from that perspective. He's more profane and rough around the edges, but always entertaining and a totally standup guy.
