Like, for example, on ego passthrough batteries that have the screw on cap to protect the USB hub. Those threads are press fitted into the tubing. Does anyone know of a supplier?

I know madvapes has tubes (510 and ego size tubes), but they don't have the treading. I have a few projects I would like to try out, but i have no lathe and a machinist is out of my price range. Those press fitted threads would be ideal for someone in my situation, i think. A few weeks of looking for them, in meat-space and online, I've only been able to find them in use- like in my dead ego passthrough, or a laser pointer tube...I think if I had to resort to scavenging these parts, my plans could be forestalled.

(I'd like to make a reasonably small automatic tube with an independent 10450 battery. Also: Skinny Geni's.)

Thanks,
BOA

I'm pretty sure these are M12x1 but the thread pitch I'm not 100% on. If you are looking for the battery cover/ cap, the dead ego pass through has them and could be cut down, a 510-ego adapter the same way, and in both cases you would have a vent hole already there. I don't quite get how you plan to use these in a mini genisis however.

My wife uncle has a small shop with a lathe he uses to turn hand-crafted ink pens. The parts all come in kits and he adds different types of exotic woods to them. the kits are from a store called woodcraft. You could try googling that or for pen making kits/materials, though I would assume the pen parts may not come in sizes much larger than an ego batt.
