Hello Gents,

I'm fairly new to the vaping scene but after some advice from co-workers I went out and got a better system. My problem is that it seems the vapor smoke is to hot sometimes. I'm not cloud chasing, I only hold the button down for a few seconds. my battery pack is the Cloupor mini with a 18650 3.7V 2500 mAh battery. The atomizer is the Kanger SUBTANK Nano. It is a sub ohm coil about .57 I have the voltage set to 3.7 and wattage set to 15.0 . To be honest pretty much have no idea what I'm doing, so any advice would be nice. thanks

you can set volts or watts, not both.

if it seems too hot turn down the power.

I just went and looked it up, I think the problem is the cloupor mini doesn't have step down. Basically that means it will fire only as low as the battery is ( if your battery is fresh it will be running at 4.2v even if you set it to 3.5)

Thanks man, I'm reading up on it on reddit now it might just be a s*itty mod

If too hot, and you can't lower the voltage, you might want to try it with a HIGHER resistance coil...
You've got room to then turn the voltage UP if you need to...and find your vape happy place.

If it can't step down, and your battery's got say 4 volts, on a .53 that means about 30 watts.
So throw a 1 ohm coil in at say 20 watts, and then adjust to taste from there...

I wouldn't say that it's a bad mod as much as that set up is bad for you. Sounds like a nice rig. Typically, sub ohm devices are meant to be fed a bit more energy than you're feeding them. One thing you may try is cranking the wattage up to around 20-22 and taking a nice drag off of it, depending on what nicotine level you're vaping. Another thing that could affect it negatively for you is the nicotine. Typically, you want to run low nicotine in sub ohm, high wattage rigs. I use 6mg personally, whereas I would use 18 on a normal vape.

If you prefer to run around 15 watts and puff higher nicotine vape, your best bet would probably be the aspire nautilus, or a kanger aero.

I hope this info helps, buddy.
