I'd get the mvp2 with nautilus;

If you want a replaceable battery option, there's the e-lvt, which is alot like an mvp but you can change the battery.

there's also the new vamo v6 out!

depending how and what you vape the coils should probably last 3 days to a week before they need cleaning/replacement.

Lightening vapes is good.

For cotton, you can either just do cotton balls (organic if you prefer) from a drugstore or beauty supply (Walgreens, CVS, etc..) or you can look for some Japanese cotton. Vapes shops in our area sell it by the pad, or you can buy a big bag of it in various places. I got a brand called Labo off of Amazon.

hm, hm, for tools... I use drill bits to wrap around. I have a torch to compress coils, but I just fire them on my mod and compress them that way. An old set of fingernail clippers works well to cut the wire. Some little Phillips head screwdrivers (some of the Kayfun clones come with a little multi screwdriver). If your eyes are old like mine, a magnifier comes in handy.

if i do end up getting a Mini Nautilus how often will I have to change the coils?

Depends on how much use it gets, and all coils I use seem to be 1 of its own. I can have 1 bottom coil last 5-7 days (not often this short of use, cleaning them). and some that last up to a month. Buddy of mine ordered 5 pack of his coils and 3 were crap. I been lucky I have had wonderful lasting time on my coils. But he has a different mod than me. I have a Silver Bullet.
