Hiya HW.........just tho't I'd give you a quick update on Halo. I received an e-mail from them today, saying that they are giving away free 10ml samples of a new tobacco flavor with any purchase of $19.00 until April 1st. So you would get the sample if you bought a 30ml bottle of the Torque 56. Even if you don't like the sample, you would have it in your stash in a pinch.

Btw, show your wife their quality statement in the link that I posted, and she may just soften up a bit on the expenditure.

Try Desert Ship from FreedomSmokeUSA to see you like Turkish blends. It is $4 for a small bottle and the nutty and somewhat pungent smell of Turkish tobacco reminds me of a freshly opened pack (and I am not the only one Desert Ship hits the spot for). I like 70pg/30vg. And I recommend FreedomSmokeUSA Cocoa eliquid for cutting the sweetness of any tobacco and adding muscle to it - just add a bit to the cart or carto. Most cigs have cocoa in them. Cocoa was the key for me. I also liked to change up the flavor of Desert Ship by adding vanillas to mellow it or oRYental 4 to add a bit of caramel sweetness. For a more subtle version of a Turkish blend, try Backwoods Brew Casablanca, a complex Turkish blend w/ a bit of cocoa. Backwoods Brew is also a great place to find all-day vapes.

And read the New Members sticky thread about tobacco flavor - starts out with somebody trying to tell people they don't need tobacco flavor but most of the comments are people suggesting tobacco flavors.

Thanks for the tips! I was thinking about the Desert Ship a couple weeks back, actually. Looked pretty good. Come to think of it, I don't really even know why I didn't order some. But anyway, I'll put that at the top of my list for juice candidates. Also, that Casablanca sounds pretty good - reading the reviews here, it seems to be one of the top favorites, so that's definitely a point in favor. Oh, and I will certainly take the time to dig through the post you mentioned. I did actually take a quick look at it before posting my question, but as you say, it started off as a sort of do you/don't you like tobacco flavors more than an examination of individual brands. But now that you've given me the heads up, I'll read deeper into the thread. Thanks again!

I have tried Blue Mist's Robacco and find it has too much of a caramel taste to it. I don't like the sweetness that many tobacco flavors have, so I have tried quite a few.
Check out MyFreedomSmokes ... I really like their Marl-bro PG at 24mg. Another good one to try is their Dunhill.
Tobacco Flavors

Yeah, caramel and also I tasted an overwhelming amount of honey and... Cedar? Something like that. I can dig a cedar flavor in a good oak-aged Michigan cabernet, but it's not something I want to vape! Anyway, that Dunhill looks very interesting. Yet another to add to my growing list!

No, and I looked on their site and they don't give the ratio of pg/vg. I don't know the strength he ordered, but they do have 24 and 30mg nicotine. If he ordered the 24 he could get a bottle of 30 and mix them together. I'd make it more robust. Maybe add a little PG to it to decrease the nic a bit?

I'm not certain, but I think it might be a 50/50 ratio. I'm only basing that on the fact that their unflavored PG/VG bases are at that ratio, so it could be wrong. I do know it had a pretty fair amount of VG, because it was quite thick and gave off great vapor. Oh, and I ordered it in 24mg... So you think that mixing a higher nic version of the same juice might give me a more robust flavor? I would have thought that would only increase throat hit?

I have not found a juice flavor that really NAILS an analog taste...and from what I have read elsewhere, it is nearly impossible to do so. That being said, I will recommend be weary, and if you are going to sample flavors, to do so with MINUTE amounts (i.e. sample size bottles, like 3mL)...because I decided to try out a "MLB" (can't use the real name, lol) and in all honesty, as I told my wife, it tasted like what I would imagine it to be like to lick a wet dog with sugar sprinkled on it. It was NASTY. There are so many different/better flavors out there, that you won't really want to go back to tobacco flavors, IMHO. Hope this helps a bit. In short, try them in small amounts...stick with what you like...but don't be close-minded, you just might discover you have a favorite "off-the-wall" flavor that you just want to vape all day and night! Be well.

Very good advice, and something I will heed. After I made the mistake of ordering 30mls of a juice I ended up disliking, I was kicking myself for not getting a sampler pack! Oh well, live and learn...
