Looking for the best 3.7 PV

Ok. Hopefully the title of this post got your attention. Here's the situation: I've got several PVs - 901, m401 and a joye ego as well as a well reviewed 6V mod. The ego is my go to PV. Tried the mod, and just didn't like it. Heavy, big compared to the standard ego and popped attys like there's no tomorrow (yes using HR attys). For me seems like ego with a LR atty is the sweet spot. But here's the problem : I don't like the ego battery life. Looking for something that's ego sized but has a swappable battery.

Anybody got any suggestions? Needs to be small, long battery life (or swappable battery so you could charge several) and sleek? Now that i wrote this kind of sounds like the holy grail of PVs.

I don't know about swappable batts, but you can get a 900mAh eGo battery. My 650mAh eGo batts last between 6 and 12 hours, depending upon how hard I hit them. I believe I once saw an eGo (not Joye) replacement battery that was ~1200mAh, but I can't remember which site I saw it on.

Anyway, I know this wasn't very helpful, but if I do find that high-cap battery, I'll post it here.

Found it! nHaler.com sells the Riva 1300mAh battery for $35.00. As far as I know, eGo and Riva parts are interchangeable, so the Riva high-cap batt should be a direct replacement for the stock eGo batts.

I just got one of these 2xAA Box Mod with slow change LED and blue horn switch and it vapes like a champ. It uses 14500 batt's at 900mah and they're only $4.29 each. At $23.99 you can't beat it. For under $50 you can get the mod, 4 batt's and a charger. They also sell it in kit form if you've got a soldering iron and it's only $8.50. With an atty and drip tip attached it's about 1/2 inch shorter than my Mega eGo and has the same batt life. It also fits nicely in my hand. The main problem is they go out of stock a lot so you have to check back often. I don't know if this fits your spec's but for the price you can't beat it.

Excellent suggestion however, if your going to go for a box mod, why not a wet box? I'm probably going to try that. If anything, figure a wet box solves my "vaping while driving problem" (ie either pre drip 2 ego set ups before younstart driving and pray for red lights or fill up cartomizers). The more I think about my quest, maybe the best set up is an ego kit and a wet box.

Yeah, definitely go with a mod if you like LR's. LR's really strain eGo batteries, because they don't have high enough amperage to handle the power. I have killed eGo's that way. Other people have no issues, but ya know... those batteries ain't cheap.

In a mod, you can use a higher amperage battery to vape LR's safely. The wet box certainly has a good following. But if you're into juice feeding, and willing to spend a bit more, maybe look into the REO. It's all-mechanical, so it's easier to fix and maintain of something ever goes wrong. I've been mod hunting as well, and I'm definitely going mechanical for the sake of longevity. I'd rather spend a little more, and have it last forever.

If you want a small mod to use with LR Attys go with the cheap box mod from Madvapes or if you want to do some soldering get the kit for a fraction of the price.
If you want something a little tougher that you don't have to worry about dropping or scratching up the Rough Stack is a nice simple small mod and the Maxi Rough Stack is just a little biggger...still small and uses higher mah batteries with the option to go 3.7 or 6 volts depending on batts used.
If you want to go variable volt on the cheap check out the green goblin thread.
Any of those would be good choices that won't break the bank and save on batteries in the long run.

I really like my Aloha mod from ivape. It uses 18650 batts so it's a little heavier then the eGo,and just slightly longer. It gives off good consistant vapor and great flavor.

A little bigger than the eGo? Dude that battery in mods that I've seen is HUGH.

The hello 016 is the cheapest 1300 mah battery and is pretty reliable. The only problem is you can't use an ego cone or mega attys with it. It still looks good with standard 510 atty or carto without the cone. The 1300 riva works well but you can't use mega atty's with it either and batteries are more expensive than the hello 016.
I also have a 1300 ego that lasts 16 hours but it is longer and is the same diameter as a reg ego so you can use mega attys with it. The individual batteries are expensive though and hard to find. I think vaporheads still has some.

...how about getting an EGO PCC? wordupecig is one site i've seen them at. do a google search and you'll get links. try to find an american distributor if you can, just for shipping sake. i've seen them at $40.

All the ego-likes are about the same when it comes to not being designed for LR attys. The batteries will die early due to being overworked, and they're expensive to replace. Any 14500 or 16340 mod will perform better and be much cheaper in the long run. Here's a chart I made up last week comparing the TCO for an ego vs a roughstack:
tco.png

Note that this chart assumes you keep two batteries on hand at a given time, and also that the average ego battery lasts for 3 months (which is probably overly optimistic).

if it's sleek you're looking for I'd say the precise 18650... all mechanical, all stainless, lifetime warranty..slimmest mods for their battery sizes...
and a good 18650 like the AW 2600mAh should last you about 21 hours with a LR atty if you hit it once a minute for 3 sec each hit...
and I'd expect a good 18650 battery to last you about a year and a half if you charge it once a day...(as long as it's not overstressed it should last upward of 500+ charges)

I doubt that you will find both an eGo size, and a greater battery capacity, in the same package. There are a lot of different batteries - 10440s are slim and small but low capacity; 14500s are about 900 mah but the mods for them are definitely larger than an ego; 18350s like the roughstack or the Indulgence mods are reasonably short, but wider than an eGo, and capacity ranges from 880 to 1200 mah depending on the battery maker/model. And 18650 mods are quite large, but battery capacity is 2400 to 3000 mah.
