The end all be all is the Reo Grand NOTHING COMES CLOSE as it for being easy and simple stick a atty on it or get a Mark Buggs to put on top of it. If I had started there I wouldn't have the other 500 in mods I have it even retired my Provari the day after I got it.

Everyone has the hardware covered, provari with a genesis DID.

For juice, I'm gonna throw in DIY. Who else can make that perfect flavour better than you?

Way over complicated and cumbersome...Provari is good but can't beat a bottom feeder at vapor production, flavor, or ease of use, and too big of a learning curve learning to rebuild. The hands down easy and convenient is a Reo style with a rebuildable atty on top.

From experience whatever floats you boat at the moment is the best APV ever made. I have a Provari, and like it. I also have a SB, and like it. Have quite a few others too, and like them also.
All said and done you are just as likely to catch me with a little all mechanical Mako in my hand as you are the Provari because it vapes right along with the big boys. So in the end whatever PV satisfies your needs is the best one. For me it just happens to be 'more than one'.

Hi all, first post here. Im looking to upgrade my entire vaping arsenal. I want the best pv, atty's, juice(i know its entirely subjective) and accessories i can get for around $500

I smoked for 10 years and have been off analogs now for about 2 years. I started out with crappy 510's, moved on to the ego and have been enjoying it for a while now. Now im ready to move on to the next level. Up until now ive been getting most of my juice and atomizers from liquidxpress (i like their honey flu cured, berry tobacco and cherry menthol). I ordered an ego twist and some pink spot to hold me over after a recommendation from grimmgreen. I'm considering a provari or darwin. I'm partial to 306 bridgeless atomizers but the only other thing ive tried were 510 cartomizers which i never got great vapor from (maybe they will work better with higher voltage?)

So there you have it. What do you think is the best pv/atomizer set up and whats your favorite juice? Would you recommend a tank? 901, 808 or 510?

    Thanks in advance

Sounds like a solid starter kit. Don't forget batteries, chargers, etc.

i got the polished chrome finish and picked up some chrome drip tips and hh.357 atomizers to match. still hovering over the buy button on the genesis did.

also threw in some vision vivi novas and a bunch of new juices

Another added bonus to the Reo is its all mechanical you could run it through the dishwasher dry it off and use it. I read a post on here where a guy dropped his in a river blew out the atty and vaped away....I dare ya to try it with the Provari

Yea i picked up 3 18490 batteries and a charger with the prover. Damn that zenesis z atty pro looks clean on a provari.

These look awesome on a provari too. Though they haven't been released yet.

I went for the provari... I did alot of research on different types like the Darwin and various tube mods... but in the end it came to safety for my tanks attys and carts... I'm fairly new to vaping but tried enough to know it can get really expensive trying things out.
I'm not saying its the best out there but it gives me everything I need to try all the different accessories out there and peace of mind I'm not going to unintentionally ruin anything.

You're going to get 532,347,353,217,845 people parroting what they have heard and telling you the Provari is the best but, in the very near future, there's another APV coming out that threatens to destroy the Provari, both in price, and performance. It's called the Vario. I recommend if you don't have some EGO Twists to grab a couple of those and hold on til the Vario comes out and gets some expert reviews.

If you want to see the Vario's specs then check it out here. It's $79, about half the price of a Provari, it looks better IMO, it has a better connection that allows for stardusts without an adapter (the Provari needs an adapter) and it will have superior airflow to the Provari. It also is a 5amp device to Provaris 3.5amps.

    Seriously? Really??

First of all, it's vaporware at the moment.

Secondly, it is a clear rip-off of the Provari.

Finally, there ain't no such thing as a free lunch. You don't get Provari quality for $79. The Vario is made in China, and will almost inevitably suffer the same quality control and cost-cutting mass production issues that the lavatube, vv gripper, etc. suffer from. This little note on the VaporBeast ad tells me all I need to know: "NOTE: The VARIO will be manufactured in China and is intended to mix with the LavaTube and VMax crowd…as well as other affordable and value driven variable volt P.V.'s."

Finally, who is going to fix your Vario when it breaks?

By the way, I'm no Provari fanboy. I do not own one. In fact, I own a lavatube variant (VTube). But, let's face it. The Chinese are good at cranking out copies of cheaply made, and inexpensively sold, devices. Quality control and customer service are not their strong suits.

My provari arrived today and I'm wanting another just so I can have 2 cause this think is wicked solid. I could attach a 510 chisel and ice sculpt or brick lay with this thing... Stainless Steel is where it's at @&$! Copper or chrome garbage...get a Phiniac Pyrex tank and go to town and vape like a steam train. I'm brand spanking new here and man this device is blowing my mind with its quality ... Also you get a year warranty and great customer service...

I read in another post today this the provari is going to become the '57 Chevy of the vaping world....the one we look back on years from now and think "man they don't makeum like they used to"......then pick up our Bashed and beaten provari and woof some vapor.

    :)

yes the provari seems to be the gold standard in terms of quality, personally I couldnt justify the price. I own an SS vmax, and it does everything I need it to, and see no reason to spend an extra $100 for the provari, I suppose time will tell.

im just curious, does anybody know where the internals for the pro vari are made?

everyone is talking bout the provari, but what about the joytech ego-c with the adjustable voltage?

    Sent from my iPad

it's ok, i like it for on the go, but it's like a batton is long. Ultimately, it's a disposable battery, not sure how far down the road, but it will eventually go. It's also not recommended for lower resistances, but for the price and ease of use it's nice.
