In my (short - but juice-y!) experience, you'll probably start off thinking "there's no way I'd like that" and then find your favorite flavors are in "that" camp. Then your tastes will change and you'll be onto something else entirely.

I like (almost exclusively now) www.freedomsmokeusa.com - if you look on the front page there's a 10% discount code. They have 3ml sample bottles of their specialty mixed flavors available, but imo their pricing on 5ml bottles is pretty sweet, too. So clear up the cost of a week's worth of analogs, find a supplier that is well reviewed, and fill your cart with a range of flavors - you never know if fruity or tobacco-y or fruity-tobacco (or whatever) is going to be what floats your boat until you actually try it.

In general, I'd recommend an RY4, something either menthol or straight-mint flavored (I like spearmint), a fruit flavor or two you like, and something you consider "crazy." Just by way of example, at FSUSA, an order like that would run you $23 for five 5ml bottles after shipping and the discount. For most of us, that isn't even *close* to a week of analogs.

Oh, and go ahead and try a few different mixes of pg/vg where available, as well as different nic levels. I like a good strong nic level in the am, then can taper down through the day.

Go for the samples or sample packs first! It will save you loads of money.

Try menthol even if you didn't smoke them... it can really kill off a ciggy craving!

Most people like RY4 so that is always a good one to try.

Some of my favorite liquids are from VaporStation (best coffee flavors out there and great liquid flavors over all for me), Johnson Creek (Summer Peach is OMG good and if you like clove ciggys the Marcado is wonderful stuff), TastyVapor (great flavors, cheap when you buy the no nic. Doublers and matching Nic. liquid to mix your own levels Atomic Fireball is a forum favorite) and Halo (strong flavors, the Smooth 8 really replaced my cigarette cravings).

Good luck to you and enjoy hunting for your favorites!

Edit -> This post has some links with suppliers that have samples:

Think about things you like in real life and start there; for example, deserts or coffee.
There are a bewildering array of juice suppliers - and flavors - to choose from and many of those do samples or very small bottles that are pretty much sample-sized (Ms T's and DIYFlavorshack are 2 that spring to mind). Try and get the small bottles first if possible or join the social group 'pay it forward' and see what samples you can get from other members of ECF. There's also a 'group' on the Tasty vapor forum thread run by members for sample sizes of TV at xx cost (they buy in bulk and rebottle and you buy a bunch for a decent cost, as TV itself doesnt do samples).
You can also troll through the classifieds and see if you can get any good deals there.
Other than doing any of that its just jump in with both feet.
I started with coffees, then moved onto fruits and desert flavors - Ive bought a ton of juice over the last few months - its a bit of an adventure lol

My advice is to DIY your juice from day one! DIY lets you have control over the flavour, flavour strength, nicotine strength, and amount of e-juice per batch. This e-juice calculator is invaluable for figuring out how many drops you'll need for whatever proportions you desire:

todmuller.com/ejuice/ejuice.php

As to where to get flavours...I strongly recommend Perfumer's Apprentice (perfumersapprentice.com). They're in California, and they are amazing! :D

The only experience I had with pre-mixed, ready-to-vape juices was very poor; the flavours were weak to non-existent...vapour production was terrible. Now obviously there are some great suppliers out there who make wonderful pre-mixed juices (as many people here will attest). But even if my experience had been good, pre-mixed juices are far more expensive than DIY when it comes to trying new flavours & experimenting. Like if you buy a big bottle of some pre-mixed flavour that you've never tried before & don't like it, for whatever reason...you're pretty much screwed. With DIY you can mix a 1mL batch for next to nothing, choosing your own recipe too - much more affordable (and fun!). :D

I'm in Canada so I'm not informed enough to recommend a source that's relatively local to Florida for your flavourless PG with nicotine, or dram bottles (good for mixing in), etc etc...but yeah, if you do decide to DIY you will definitely not regret ordering some concentrated flavours from Perfumer's Apprentice. Happy vaping!

I think Hellen makes a good point.

Racelcoffe must have been good at chemistry... I tried DIY and boy did I crash and burn, but alas, I am an idiot ;-) nine years of college down the drain. I can cook, exegete text, teach non science AP courses, sell an xmas tree to a Buddhist... but I sucked at DIY. I sucked at chemistry in high school too.

Try three or four suppliers that everyone is raving about.

Go for tried and true... don't play detective yourself for your first buy...

Do you have an e-cig yet?

A few places to get a great sample deal include: Vapor Station, VapeRite and StrictleYejuice as Son et Lumiere suggested. SEJ is chinese juice, but it's good too. It's higher quality. It's a nice contrast to the others and a lot of experienced vapers... like Dr. Vapor and DonDaBoomVape like Dekang. so...

good luck!

shoot me your addy and I'll send ya some small samples too next time I hit the po... some VapeRite, Backwoods Brew, Vaporbomb etc...

freedomsmokeusa is having a special. You can get 5 of the 10 ml tobacco flavors for $15. That is a great way to try different flavors. I think the code is tobacco. http://freedomsmokeusa.com/index.php

Also my favorite ejuice supplier offers a sampler of 10 flavors 5 ml for $25
http://www.vsvapor.net/station.php

My faves are Amaretto Peach, VS4, Cherry Almond
Amaretto peach is unbelievably good!

Hey salem, is that sale on a thread here on ECF? I knew they mentioned having one but haven't run across the post yet.

Earl, there are a ton of good juice suppliers...just read everyone's posts on here and you'll start seeing a few names keep popping up all the time. I really like FreedomsmokeUSA but that doesn't mean you will. And I agree, start out with some sample sizes and see what really vapes ya!

You can use this FREE software that I created for ejuice mixing. Google search for "eJuice Me Up". I will be adding additional features in each new version. Just added multi nicotine mixing.
