I've been using primarily Kanger Subtank Mini's for a while now. But since there has been a slough of new rta's released, I figured I might upgrade.

I am more or less happy with the performance of the subtank, but since I modified the deck (I dremeled it), it leaks. Yes, the dry hits are gone, but it leaks like a sieve. I have tried the V2 with the new rba deck, but it still leaks.

The problem I have is I cannot seem to find any rta that meets my criteria:
  • Is single coil
  • Allows for sub-ohming (Kayfuns, etc. are too restricted).
  • Doesn't leak
  • Top fill (or if not top fill, is easy to fill).

I know the Lemo 2 is a single coil RTA, but it has gotten pretty bad reviews all around. The Billow 2 looks OK but it's dual coil (don't want) and I hear it is fiddly. The Goliath v2 looks to be the most promising, but I figured I would ask you RTA nerds if you have any other recommendations.

Or how about clearos? If I buy a clearo, it must have an RBA deck. I've looked at the Triton and it looks really nice except the RBA deck looks janky and supposedly dry hits.

Delta 2! It's awesome. The lemo 2 is good too, but the delta has slightly better flavor.

You can't subohm a taifun, the posts are too skinny and its hard to trap the larger gauge coils, and its got like no airflow so you end up with a very hot coil that might fall off. For mouth to lung, at 1.5ohm it's a great tank to build micro coils on, but that's about it.

You probably don't want the Triton, the rba is awkward at best and it gets a lot of negative reviews.

Yeah...looks like I missed the 'sub-Ohm' part. Thanks.

If you're considering a Rebuildable, I'd highly suggest the Aromamizer RDTA. I own many tanks, but this is the ONE. There's a thread here if you want to take a better look.

Thanks for the replies. I will look into the aromamizer and the Cthulhu v2.

I do like the subtanks just fine, but the leaking is getting annoying. If I stuff it with cotton, it dry hits. If I lay cotton just at the top of the deck, it leaks.

I really wish all RTA manufacturers would consider us single coil guys. Some of us do like to sub-ohm but want convenience of building one coil.

I have to ask what the juice content your using to get so much leaking?

While I generally use %100VG with TC builds on TC mods I've been mostly pleased with my STM purchases (if we forget the little problem I'm having with one I opened a thread on earlier).

No leaks, flooding or dry hits here.

I would not discount the Lemo2. Some hate it for sure but there is those of us that love it. I rarely get any leaks when/after filling and feel comfortable enough with it to pocket it or take it to work with me. I often store it on its side while charging my SXminiM and rarely have moisture on the paper towel placed under it.
