Hey all -

So, I made a post a few weeks back about how I was looking to get back into PVs and ready to kick smoking again after I had used them successfully almost two years ago to quit for a year.

So right now I'm sitting on some atomizers, a good amount of juice, and various other accessories but I'm getting restless to order a PV.

I've been constantly checking and re-checking the Darwin but it still hasn't come back in stock so I'm considering just getting another model for right now and ordering a VV one later on.

I originally had finally kicked my habit the last time using the original Prodigy V1 and loved the 5V vape. When I stopped using PVs altogether I had just gotten the Super T S6 and had only used it for a few days.

I'm eyeing the Prodigy V3.1 because of my great experience with the original but I'm just worried about vaping at 6V as I think it might just be a little too high.

Does anyone have any opinions to share on their favorite voltage, why, and things they didn't like about others?

Also mod recommendations would be great too. There are so many options these days.

Thanks.

Brandon

6V I find difficult to master, but I don't use cartos. I did find 4.5ohm attys worked pretty well. I find 5V much more pleasurable than 6. I would suggest an ego/riva w/ a lr atty in the meantime until you decide to get a VV or VW pV. They make great back ups and are nice to have around for a smaller PV.

wait it out. I have a Darwin, and it is worth the wait. If you simply can't stand to wait, you could order a Provari. But there is a 3 week wait for those, and the next round of Darwins will probably be available before then LOL.

But yeah. I find 6v hard to handle. 5v is a easier, but I found my sweet spot to be in the 4.1-4.7 range. So my 5v mod just collects dust these days.

If you really want something inexpensive to get by with- just get an eGo and some LR attys/cartos.

I currently use an ego and a 3.7v box mod. I love the 3.7.. I wanted to try the higher voltages but couldn't spend that much for a vv. So I bought an inexpensive box mod for $30. It is def different! a lot hotter. a bit too hot for me I think. I can tell I'm using way more juice and the juice has a bit of a burnt taste after a couple drips. I'm going to try it out for awhile and then I may have to sell it or trade for another lower voltage device.

I love my Provari. I dont have any high voltage atties so any time i get over 5 volts it starts tasting terrible. I've only been vaping with a mod for a little over a month so I'm not the most experienced. IMO 6v just seems too much. I hear a lot of great things about the GLV2 from greatlakesvapor, maybe check them out.

VV is the way to go imo. I'll never go back, makes life much easier. No having to worry about matching x ohm atty with x voltage, being able to dial in your sweet spot etc etc.

If you're set on the Darwin and it's not in stock and you don't want to wait I'd recommend getting one of the basic vv choices out there. There are several that will introduce you to vv without breaking the bank. Then when the Darwin comes back in stock you'll have a backup.

I know!

I just got that email too. Thanks so much for all the replies.
