Looking for Veteran advice

I am currently using KGO VV Megas. They are lasting well over 24 hours for me. I can usually empty a T2 twice on a single charge.
vape is great for about 1/2 to 1 hour after starting a fresh battery. After that it is downhill pretty fast. The vapor itself is there but flavor is muted considerably. Adjusting voltage has very little if any effect.
My guess is voltage drop/or amperage drop.
What would be the be benefits of an APV with a 18650. Would the performance be more consistant?
Am I even looking in the right direction to solve the issue? Any ideas would be appreciated.
I am looking at the Vamo and the smok ZMax for upgrade options, but I am not locked into those. Thanks All

This is just a guess, but are you using the same flavor? If I vape the same flavor for more than an hour it becomes muted. Might just need to switch up you flavors.

I have tried different flavors. One thing I have noticed is I can hear it "working" when I first start using it or if I take a break from it. After a while the sound is gone (vapor is still producing)
