I have a Vamo and 3 Vision spinners. Now I want something that will last. My Vamo is good but I don't feel like it is any better than my spinners when it comes to quality. I am willing to drop up to 200 dollars on a mod and have been looking at the Provari for about a month. I am pretty sure if I just go with the Provari, I wont be disappointed but I want to know all my options before spending that kind of money.

I came across Shanmods and they seem like a good choice as well. I am not really into collecting a ton of devices, and just want something I can use today and in 1 year it still be going.

I was facing the same decision about a Provari and and ended up buying a Sigelei Zmax V3 telescopic flat top. Glad I did. This Sigelei with the telescopic tube is like having both a Provari standard and a Provari mini in one unit. With the money saved I upgraded my atomizing device and bought extras like batteries. Still saved a lot.

If ultimate reliability, excellent warranty and a serviceable mod is your priority, go with a Provari. They can't be beat, but you pay for what you get. Myself, I don't plan on handing down any mod to my kids.

I thought my eVic was the cat's meow.

Then I got a Provari. Worth every dime. Not a moment's regret, it is a great device. I was worried the absence of VW, and the advanced screens of an eVic would mean I would not like it.

All the Provari does is make great vapor all day long. Make sure you have some button top batteries if you get one, the flat top batteries won't work! The batteries from ProVape are about the same you pay most places for them, so you can order them with your Provari. They shipped it for free to me (I think ships free to anyone in continental US)

Or you can order them here RTD Vapor AW Batteries and save a buck or two if you are getting a bunch.

Looks like Provari is going to win this one.

Also, honestly, I am not a huge van of VW. I read all about how awesome it is and after having my Vamo set at VW for about 3 weeks, I switched to VV to try it out. Haven't gone back to VW. I do own button top batteries as well but will need a couple more as I have some of the Panasonic 18650's.

Lastly, I'm not looking for a mod to hand to my kids, as I am pretty sure my puppy wont be smoking. I just want something to last. If my Vamo or your Zmax V3 broke 2 months from now, oh well. I am already experiencing fiddly problems with my Vamo and just don't want the hassle of an unreliable mod. Sure, lots of people have them, love them, they work great for a long time but I don't want to be that one unlucky person with a defective unit. Plus, like I said before, not really into collecting mods. I give myself a set monthly budget and am willing to not get new juices (which I don't really need) or new liquid deliver devices to have something that is apparently, an amazingly well made mod.

Then I can begin to horde juices.

The biggest single advantage to the provari is that when something (and it will at some point) you can have it repaired, unlike the mass of mods coming out of China. I have 2 Vamo's, an Innokin SVD and a Smokteck Zmax. I just received a provari yesterday (I bought it in the classy's) and I'm already hooked. I thought I'd miss not having VW, but it's not so bad really.

yep what Reidus said, provape will fix anything that goes wrong with the provari even if it's out of warranty for a small fee and the turn around time is great. I have many many PVs and I like them all but if my beloved sigelei telemax dies sadly its going in the trash just like my vamo that bit the dust last week

I have an interesting perspective...I have had a zmax, vamo and all that. I also have and have had nice mechs. I had a provari for a long time. I say had because I sold it because I wanted a provari mini and twins which unlike the sigelei zmax telescope is actually like having a full size and mini provari. I am in the few day interim of having sent out my sold provari and not yet having received my new mini provari and twins. I have an itaste SVD to fill the gap in lack of vv device.

I hate it now. It feels cheap for one but I am not really offended by that. The next issue is I was building a genny coil and since the positive post on it was short, I was using 28ga to get a few wraps on there instead of using 32ga. Well, my coil was 1.2ohm though I intended it be 1.5ohm (I don't generally use 28ga), no biggie it's VV/VW and has a 5 amp limit so I should be able to fire it no problem and adjust the voltage to taste...nope. Does not fire, when I push the button it just kindly tells me it is 1.2ohms. I put it down to 3 volts, won't fire, same deal. That's 2.5 amps, so the 5 amps of power is not so much useful if I can't use it. So I recoiled and got it at 1.6ohms and I am vaping it at 1.6ohms, 2.6amps...doesn't make sense to me. This is using a panasonic cgr18650ch so it's not the battery. So the provari may be a 3.5 amp limit but you can use all of it, it will fire a 0.9ohm coil at 3.1 volts. So that's relatively annoying. Then the pulsing vape, also very annoying.

So long story short, I am just going to put this on a mech and vape it. I'll probably not use the SVD again, I'll just meter the coil and pop it on a mech. I miss my provari and it's only been 2 days. It just does exactly what it advertises and does it well. I'm not going to spend any more money on china vv/vw until they improve the chip that the zmax/vamo/anyvape/vape-pro/lavatube 2/svd/groovebomb use.

And you know what, I paid $46 for my SVD kit and it really isn't a bad device, I'm just spoiled.

Hi there! I started with a mini Provari and have been very pleased. I dont have any other device to compare it to, but mine has been consistant and i have had zero problems. (Provape has great customer service and i love that Provaris are made in the USA.). Listen to the veterans here (not me, as I'm a newbie).
