I am pretty new to vaping. have been off the analogs for about two months. I am currently using the ego and ego T which are doing pretty good but am looking into buying a mod. I have read a lot of good info on here My question is what is a good mod to use that doesnt have a lot of upkeep to it but will produce good vapor and throat hit and a good place to buy one and what accesories do I need to buy with it . Any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. :)

its all preference really.. Can't go wrong with a SaberTouch (5v, 3.7, or VV) from Vapermoon.com, or an Infinity/Buzz from Notcigs.com.. If you have the $$$ you can get a Bottomfeeder (Reo Grand/Mini), Phidias, Ali'i, or you can get an expensive VV like the ProVari/Darwin.

Here are my mods (started about 1 month ago)

What mod you buy should depend on what's important to you. Such as:

Battery life between charges: Do you need something that lasts as long as your eGo between charges? If so, you're going to want a mod that takes batteries with at least 750mAh.

Voltage: Are you happy with your current voltage? If you are, you may only need to purchase a mod that runs a true 3.7v battery. If you'd like more heat and vapor, you might want to look into a higher voltage mod or perhaps an adjustable voltage mod or even a mod that allows you to change voltage with just a change of batteries. Example: There are some mods that allow the use of a single 14500 3.7v 900mAh battery OR two stacked 3v batteries to vape at 6v. One mod, two voltage choices depending on batteries used.

Size: Does size matter?

Cost: What would you like to spend on your new mod?

There are several things to consider. And there are so many mods to choose from...so the more you can pin point what's truly important to you, the easier it will be to decide which one you'd like to buy. After lots of trial an error I ended up with a very small 3.7v device that takes 1200mAh batteries to take out with me (Madvapes Roughstack) and a fairly large 5v mod that takes the same batteries (very nice to only have one type of batts to deal with I must say) for at home (Aceofvapes Golddigger). The battery life was very important to me and also the "toughness" of the mod (I drop things). I run LR cartos on the 3.7 and regular resistance cartos on the 5v and I love them both very much. So, I strongly suggest that you figure out what you truly need from your mod and then narrow it down to the ones that fit those needs. It will help. :)

There are a number of good ones. I would DEFINITELY at least step up to a 5 volt PV such as the GLV2 from Great Lakes Vapor. The improved throat hit (TH), battery life and consistency are significantly better than a 3.7 volt battery.

But in today's market, to get the best TH, battery life, consistency and flexibility I would suggest you get a good variable volt (VV) PV. The best two on the market based on features and ease of use are the Darwin from nhaler.com and the ProVari. I personally prefer the Darwin. I am a very heavy vaper (work from home) and get 21 hours on a battery charge. Others have reported getting 35 hours on a charge. It also doubles as a passthrough if needed. The best feature about the Darwin is that it has a processor that senses the resistence in your atty/carto as it changes while you vape and then automatically adjusts the power level to maintain complete consistency while vaping. It also comes with the longest warranty that I am aware of: 2 years on the PV, 1 year on the batteries. nhaler restocks them every week to a week and a half.
