Hey guys,

I want to build my very own VV Box mod and these are my thoughts. Build a box that can:

  1. Hold batteries that can bring me up to 5 or 7.2 volts (1, 2 or 3 batteries)
  2. Have Variable Voltage so I can tune between 3.2 and at least 5 volts, to get flavors to come out a bit more (duh!)
  3. Hold a tank INSIDE the box (I am also contemplating a bottle feeder with an atomizer that does not stick up to far from the box)
  4. Be small enough to carry in my front pocket

The whole idea here is to have enough juice and battery with me to last the day and to not have a carto sticking out of the box that could presumably break in my pocket. I normally vape about 2ml per day, but I would like to carry 3ml.

If anyone has any schematics/ideas that they can share with me I would love to listen. I am pretty crafty with my hands and have a great understanding of electronics. Of course, I have been doing hours of Googling already, but I just could not find one that met these requirements.

P.S. I am on a budget, so this is the reason I have not purchased a premade VV mod. Plus the excitement of making my own is just too good to pass up:p

Thanks a bunch!

A 4xAA box would fit 2x14500, a slim tank and a VV board+switch. I recommend checking out the Easy OKR thread as the board is very small and efficient. It will probably be around $15 bucks for parts.

Thanks meatsneakers. Reading that thread is making my head spin...lol... it's information overload and jumps to side threads for even more information. I guess I cannot say that there is no info on this subject out there.

Let me rephrase my question. I believe I am looking for an exact parts list for a MOD that meets my requirements and performs well. Of course, the best is a relative term and what someone considers the best might not be the best for another, but I just want to get started somewhere. I am sure that, as soon as I build my first one, I will want to do it again and make it better. If I am forced to read through all the threads, then I will, but I am just hoping to have site/post that outlines the exact parts needed to complete my first mod:)

Worst case, I was considering getting the 4XAA box from madvapes with their VV parts...

The MV VV kit V2 is good. It has served well for my VV boxes. There is a juicebox tutorial here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/95728-tutorial-juicebox-around-8-a.html

Incorporate both into a housing of your choice and your request has been fulfilled!

I likey, this is very close to what I was looking for. I might just try one exactly like this:)

What atty do you recommend for this? The flavor from this, theoretically, should be better than a carto, right?

....The more I think about this, for the money I am just going to get the parts. I will hold off for a bit to see what else people suggest for me, maybe I order enough parts for 2 different kinds. For the money, what heck:thumbs::thumbs:

On a mod like this, is a voltage regulator going to do anything for me? Since its a single battery, I suspect not, but thought I would ask...

I currently have the 3xAA box in my cart, as I like the extra space it provides. I can go with a button of my liking and maybe even cram a volt meter in there...

There's no extra space in a 3 AA box since the batts take up 2 slots and the reg and stuff take most of the other slot.

that was to build a single 14500 bottom feeder without VV.

Gonna build me two while I am ordering parts. Save on shipping;)
