Looking to get into mech mods and RBA's

alright first off, please excuse all grammar/spelling errors as i only have one hand to type with because i broke my wrist pretty badly two days ago
AAAAANYwho I really want to get more involved in vaping and make it more of a hobby and this cheap ego-c isn't cutting it AT ALL anymore. i know i really should get more familiar with other kinds of mods like APV's and whatnot but frankly now that i've been looking around at mech mods, i'm not really that interested in them anymore. i want more of that OOMPH! that you get from mechs. this is a bit of a broad question but what should i know before investing? where is a good place to start? how can i really get the most out of a mech mod/rba? what problems should i expect? i know i should have a lot more questions because there is so much to know about these devices but i really don't know enough about them to even ask more.

any and all input will help me loads and i appreciate it

My primary device is a Super-T P-18 and candidly there aren't any problems. Mechanical apv's are pretty straight forward with little to go wrong. Keep in mind the higher priced devices usually have a leg up in the fit and finish and overall more attention to the details. I use 1.7 ohm cartos and a couple rebuildables in the same range, they all work well for me.

that actually looks like the perfect setup to learn on. cheap, pretty complete, and ive heard the natural isn't actually that bad. haven't heard of that atty though. would you recommend it?

well as far as things not going wrong i don't think that's completely true. quite a bit can go wrong but they're not like electronic APV's where the problems can't be easily solved whereas on a mech mod you can just sit down and easily figure out what's wrong and fix it on your own.

i like how that smoktech kit looks but i heard pretty good things about the AGA-T2 and it looks simple enough for a noob like me to understand haha. i really like the option of different battery configurations too so i want something telescopic like a drawtube. also, is it safe to stack 18350's in these mods with RBA's to up the voltage?

As far as stacking 18350 in a mech and you be new to mech and RBA i would say no but i sure some one else with more insight will let you know. The AGA T2 is a real good first RBA to get thats what i have sitting on top of my Bolt right and its very nice to vape. The bolt you might want to take a look at all thou its not a true Mech Mod due to it does have some wires in it for the switch but it works great and much cheaper. You can pick a bolt batt. charger for around 70 to 80 bucks.

Id go for a Natural and an AGA. I wrap mine at around 1.3ohm, but I use an Altsmoke BB and Vamo. Haven't jumped into mechanical mods yet. No point for me to do so as of right now.

yeah i was thinking the same exact thing. seems like a great setup to start with. and I've probably watched 30 different tutorial videos on how to build an atty so i have a general idea. also a place within the us sells a natural WITH batteries (which i do not have) and they also have the AGA and everything id need for a good price.

You can go cheap on the mod and the atty but get good batteries and charger. Also if you can't type with your broken wrist, a genisis atty is probably going to really drive you crazy in the beginning. Checkout the RBA section here, tons of good info.

I was super intimidated when I got my first RBA (Phoenix), but once I wrapped a coil and realized how simple it really was- there is no comparison. I wrap 1.0 -1.3ohm coils and use it on a KTS mechanical and it works like a charm. After the mod, RBA, batteries an charger I am still under $100 and it was a good barometer for me in taking the next step in my devices.
