For me one of the best mechs I bought (meaning value, price / performance) was the k100. I got one for around $20 and I still use it today. Solid mod, very well made, telescopes for versatility and it doesn't look too radical (personal preference I know)

Add in that most RDA's look pretty good sitting on top of it too and it's a great mod for starters or for a vet to add to their collection.

Forum member Baditude has some excellent blog posts on batteries / chargers and battery safety - required reading (imho) if you are looking to get into mechanicals.

Currently vaping on a silver K100 in 18350 mode with the 2014 Kayfun Lite Plus and AW batteries, and loving it! Others I might suggest- M16, Astro, and while not telescoping the Nemesis "comes with different battery tubes". If thinking about the K100 I would also check out this improved version that comes with an extender and kick clone K100+ VV - Comes with Kick - Silver - Vices Electronic Cigarettes cant't really beat that price if wanting the kick option. FYI- You can also add a vamo tube to the original K100 for using 18650 an kick. Just some different ideas hope this helps.

Everybody in the Universe said:
+1 for the k100
Love k100
k100 is the next best thing
Am I the only person in the universe that HATES the k100 with a passion... I hate it!

I hate the huge, ugly, 100 miles of travel switch.
I hate the way it feels in my hands.
I hate the fact that any good atty looks terrible on it.
I hate the never ending screwingness of the locking ring.

I bought it, I vaped it, I Hate It!

No Kick for mechs. It is not a mech if you kick it. A kicked mech is a APV.

If you don't like the k100 there are lots of others. I like the long fire button and locking ring of the k100 as I know it isn't going to go off in my pocket.

Sure it's still a mech if there is a kick installed, though it's a VW regulated mech.. A kick 2 is a mech with training wheels, can get one safely down to .5 ohms and still have all the protection of a regulated. And they are great for firing stand ohm builds at 15 watts..

If i add an two extra wheels to a (BI)cycle does it doesnt meet the definition of a bicycle anymore. By your logic my MVP is a mech with an integrated kick. If you really want protection and voltage regulation there are easier and cheaper ways than the Kick. Adjusting a kick is a pain in the ... compared to pushing a button on a regulated device.

If the OP is looking into a mech than let him learn the basics and run with it - no need for training wheels. Why make a simple system more complicated?

Of course there are a lot of other mechs out there, I just don't understand the hype about the k100, to each their own I guess.

Btw a kicked mech is still a mech... It just happens to be... kicked.

Of course it does... It becomes a bicycle with training wheels. Never heard any parents say: "Happy birthday sweety!!! Here's your new quadcycle!!!!"

If we want to be UltraAnal, we shouldn't even call them mech, since the battery if the central element, we should call them Electrochemical-Mods.
