Alright guys.. so, I started out using boge cartos and eGo/kGo batteries. I've since moved on and am now using a GGTS and Ithaka, but my girlfriend is still using cartos and eGo batteries.

She doesn't have a problem with those.. although they do leak sometimes (and I'm tired of filling them up).. but I'm looking for a small rebuildable atty she can use. Something SMALL, like the diameter of the eGo batteries.

I was looking at Vivi Nova's, the 2ml ones.. I can buy two of those and just build and swap out coils for her quick and easy.

Is that the best option, though? She would never ever use a big tank (she thinks my GGTS+Ithaka is ridiculous haha) and I think the Vivi Nova 2ml is probably the biggest I can convince her to go. Are there better options? Something not too heavy either!

And also.. she is a bigger fan of the 650 mah ego batteries than the larger kGos, are there better battery brands I can get? Something the size of the 650 mAh ego.. maaaaybe a hair larger..

Anyway, I've been out of the loop on all this stuff for a while so I really don't know what is what anymore!

Any help would be great, thanks guys!

the IGO-F is a good looking option. its ego sized, ss, holds about a milliliter, and appears well built (as most -if not all- youde products are).

im basically in the same boat as you. my girl uses egos and cartos mostly. instead of getting her an rba, i decided to get her some baby t3s. she loves em. best part: she can fill em herself! \o/

the mini nova is a decent option but rebuilding the heads IMO is tedious. those heads are harder to rebuild than a lot of my actual rbas. same with the T3s. theyre not ultra difficult, but a bit tediuos for the quality of vape you get- especially if you dont use NR-R-NR builds. with just R wire, that rubber grommet can really heat up and put off a foul taste.

luckily, my girl vapes nothing but a clear menthol juice (NLV Cold Creek), and her coils last f o r e v e r.

other RBA options for egos are the phoenix and A7. theyre both ego-sized (a hair larger in diameter, but look great nonetheless), but theyre drippers. a tank would be much more convenient IMO. the only ego-sized tank RBA that i know of is the IGO-F. 101Vape has a decent price, discount code, and two dollar shipping. i just made my first order with them (for the AGT) and it shipped out right away.

Ooooh, nice! I like the look of the IGO-F. Doesn't hold as much, but that's fine because she's used to dripping on the carto every few vapes, she can fill this up probably once a night (she only vapes at nights when we're home)

I wouldn't have a problem with the vivi nova NR-R-NR (I've got a little wire welder as well) but looking at the IGO-F I think she would like that more.. it's not as long and looks nice on an eGo

Thanks kemosabe.. time to go watch videos and reviews!

I'd go with the Igo. If she's been using cartos she may notice that her flavor is muted. Or maybe you could try the mini protank. I've never used one but I've read a lot of good things about em.

That looks nice, too!

Definitely going to have to do some research between them!

Actually it looks like the battery in that photo is thicker than the eGo.. what kind of battery is that? Maybe a slightly thicker one wouldn't be bad, but have a higher mAh rating as well. The setup in the photo I just posted doesn't look too big.. probably the max she would go for, though.

edit: actually I might be wrong.. I think I may have seen the larger protank on an eGo for comparison.

When I googled a protank mini on a ego battery I got the same image.

thats a kanger evod battery. its a nice battery in that it is regulated to 3.7V throughout its charge. however, there was just a large recall on kanger evod batts. you can get one of the colors that wasnt recalled, but personally id wait until the next version of the batt comes out. the batts are a nice option in lieu of a twist, or something of the like.
i do not believe they are thicker than an ego.

The Igo may work better for at home vaping since you can't really lay them down. I love my Igo-L's. The protank may be a better on the go option. Glad I could help!

Ah yeah that might be a game changer actually.. I want the easiest, no hassle vaping.. I think she'd be annoyed with having to keep her ecig upright at all times.. I'm looking at this mini protank and it's looking nicer and nicer.. hopefully the glass is sturdy, though!

Ah nice - thanks. Yeah I was thinking about getting a twist, too.. but they are larger I think. Plus if I'm making the coils for her I can adjust the ohms... I know she won't care about adjusting voltage or anything like that.. she is basically the opposite vaper that I am.. I am always fiddling and building coils and getting new devices and experimenting.. she just wants to vape it and not think about it (like analogs)

i dont think the igo-f would be a bad leaker. of course its possible, but the design of it looks as if it blocks for leaks.
but that slim protank looks sharp too. that could be a great option for her.

Hmmm it does look longer than I thought..

Just afraid it'll be super top-heavy.

Maybe I'll just get a Vision Vivi nova 2ml for now and see if she complains about it.. definitely gonna still look into the Protank min, though.. I'll have to show her that photo and see what she thinks.. I know it's not MUCH bigger than the Vivi nova but looks like it'd be heavier and top-heavy n a 650mAh eGo.

Ok gotcha. When people say rebuildables I think our minds always go straight to RDAs & RBAs. Yeah the Igo's are RDA's so they have a vent/air hole on them so the juice would drip out if you laid it down. I'd look more at something along the lines of a evod or protank.

The Griffin atomizer (mini DID clone). Its just ever so slightly bigger in diameter than an Ego battery.
The Griffin - Rebuildable Atomizer Tank

Another option is the Phoenix atomizer. It is the same size in diameter as an Ego battery, but it has no clear tank.

I have both of these atomizers one on a 650mah Ego Twist that I will post pictures of once I get off work later this evening...

Oh awesome, I'd love to see pics, thanks!

You're right they don't leak too bad but if they are built like the Igo-L there's a little bit of a reservoir in the bottom that holds extra juice to be absorbed by the wick. I wouldn't recommend them for pockets & handbags. Lol

Yeah, I think I should stay away from that then!
Need something that she can toss in her bag.. that's another reason I'm a bit worried about the glass on the protank mini... but it is Pyrex!

I like the look of Todd's setup he's using with the protank mini - Kanger Mini Protank Kit - YouTube - that size battery and protank mini might not be too bad, I could convince her to use it I think. She also would't have to carry juice around when we go out!
