Hey all! Main reason I am posting here is because I have heard a lot of great things about this vendor.

I am looking to start doing some small DIY maybe 2-3 flavors and work from there. I am a complete Noob when it comes to this and have done a little research. I am asking fellow DIYers, How was it your first time? Is it a easy learning curve? Any pointers?

Thanks for any info

Mike

DIY is not hard but I suggest you do a lot of reading on it first..it is one of those things that you never stop learning on and you will get better at it the more you do it.

My first time I did not experiment, I founds some recipe's that I liked and followed them just to learn the basics but now I experiment with stuff and having a lot of fun in the process.

I like to think of DIY e-liquid in the same light as cooking. You can follow a recipe, and it may be to your liking or it may not. Or you can travel off the path a bit and come up with something you can be proud of and call your own.

My first mixture wasn't great, but it was vapable. I made sure to start out with some flavors that I like. The only flavor that gave me a difficult time was the LorAnn Cherry. Cherry seems to be one of the most difficult flavors to work with even today.

If you give me an idea of what flavors you like, I will give you some recommendations on which ones I have found to be easiest to work with so that your first foray into DIY will be as successful as possible.

The Flavor Apprentice Cotton Candy is Ethyl Maltol at 10% in PG. It's very mild but when used can give a nice spun sugar type flavoring (albeit mild). It's a good additive to round out sharp flavors and make them a little smoother, especially tobaccos, but I have used it in other flavors with success.

LorAnn Cotton Candy is more sweet like the type you find at the fair grounds.
