Hey guys i have been around vaping for about 2 years now and i have never tried a carto tank..I know shame on me right.I have used the stardust,ce3s and etc on my Volt x2 with Mediocre Results.Just not as fulfilling of a vape as i am after. So i purchased A Ego twist to play with a little higher volt's and would love to try a carto tank but i must confess i get so confused looking at all of them.So i come asking for help. From what i gather and have read this is what i am looking for

1.Around a 3.5ml capacity as it will be on a ego so i like the smaller tanks
2.a tank that holds single coil cartos so i can use the complete volt range
3.Perhaps one that locks the carto in place so i do not pull it out and lose all the juice.
4.Cheap (8-15ish$)

So Help me out my fellow friends as i am lost .The more i Read and look the more i get confused

Look at these polypropylene tube and metal endcaps tanks from My Vapor Store for $8.50. Most tank kits come with dual coil cartos, which you don't want on a Twist, so just get the empty tank w/o the carto. The slimmer 3.5ml tank will be what you want size-wise. These are frosted in appearance because of the nature of the polypropylene plastic. Available in clear or colors.

You will need to purchase a drip tip to use as a mouthpiece.

They do sell cheaper tanks, but they come with a polycarbonate tube which isn't as durable as the polypropylene and also isn't immune to some of the juice flavors that can melt or crack polycarbonate plastic.

For a single coil carto with pre-made holes I recommend these Smokteks. The 3.0 ohm would work the best on your variable voltage Twist battery:
Single Coil XL Tank Cartomizer for the SmokTank XL

These cartos have a flange on the connector end which prevents the tank from slipping down to the battery. A snug-fitting (most are) drip tip mouthpiece will help keep the tank from sliding off the carto.

I'll include the following video that show the proper methodology of pre-filling a punched carto and filling the tank.

Hi! To reiterate what others have said, a Twist doesn't have have enough power to get the full effect of a dual coil. You'll have a nicer experience with a single coil.

ETA: Valley View Vapes has inexpensive polypro tanks. They aren't the prettiest in the world, but are little workhorses. I have nicer tanks, but I use one of these everyday because they are so easy to fill. I have the jumbo 5ml one, which looks a little top heavy on my eGo, but I've gotten used to it. (I think it looks like a lollipop!) The 3ml and 6ml look slimmer. The tanks don't have caps, they have grommets, but they are VERY tight. It takes a bit of practice to get a carto in right, but I don't know anyone who has had a leaking problem. Triple V Polypro Tanks They also come with a Boge carto already in them.

How well does the smoktech cartos perform?i have never used them ,the only cartos that i have used and enjoyed was the boge single coil, ikenvape, and the 801fusions.Also i know this varies from the type of juice and voltage you use but on average how long do you get out of a single cartomizer in a tank?

And yes the volt twist seems to be a good device and many people rave about DC on them but i just still believe the single coils will outperform the dc on a ego any day.

I happen to agree with you, I prefer single coils over dual coils.

I used the single coil Smokteks that I linked to for quite some time and liked them very much, as do several of the frequent posters here do. For the last few weeks I've started to use the Ikenvape Platinum Mega punched! cartos, and I admit that I like them a little better than the Smokteks for flavor and lasting ability. However, the Mega Platinum punched are currently out of stock (seems to be an issue with Ikenvape). The Smokteks will be my go-to carto if the Platinums are not available.

I did find a couple of vendors that sell XL sized Boges that are laser drilled and in two resistances. No flange. Since you are familiar with those, here are the links:

Tanks - Mom and Pop Vapor Shop

Grommet tanks hold very tightly. Side fill is very nice. Price is with one carto and drip tip installed. Wide variety of cartos.

The only problem with those is that they're polycarbonate. With so many juices around that are incompatible, I don't even bother with polycarb carto tanks anymore.

I was looking at those, for when they come back in stock, but I read somewhere that they are a little bit longer than the XL Smokteks. Did you find that to be true?

I agree about the polycarbonate issue with those tanks. Also, they must be filled with a needle and syringe (or other similar-type apparatus) into the juice fill hole. I'd be worried about losing the screw that plugs the fill hole, too.

Not a real fan of the grommet tanks, myself. The lone exception would be the High Desert pyrex tanks, like the one I have below. This pic shows the tank with an XL carto in it, before I was able to get some Boges standard length for it.

Yes, from what I have been able to gather, the vendor recently went through some issues where he was scammed for quite a load of money from racketeers in the Philipines. It's taking him some time to work his way back on stable ground.

I've also read that he originally had Boge in China make his Ikenvape cartos to his specifications with an agreement that he would be the exclusive vendor for them, but allegedly Boge has been selling those cartos to other vendors. I guess the Chinese do not honor those kinds of agreements, as he has found out the hard way.

I just looked at the Mom & Pop link again. I looks like they use the same grommets & screw plugs as Valley View Vapes. If so, and the holes are the same size, the side hole is easy to fill with the tapered caps that come on many of the juice bottles. VVV also sells replacement screws in various colors.

ETA: but again, for the price, I'd get a polypro
