Hey everyone!
I'm going on 4 weeks no smoking with only the help of vapeing. Started on a kanger evod and moved up to a nautilus that a friend gave me that started leaking, so I picked up a Nautilus mini because I still had a bunch of coils. I'm looking to go bigger and get a better flavour out of my vape now and was curious about 2 tanks.
First is the Aspire Triton V2, which I can pick up with the Pegasus together for fairly cheap, or the TFV4 mini, which I'd have to buy a bigger mod separately, but am super interested in the dual Clapton's it comes with (heard they produce awesome flavour)
Any advice on what I should be grabbing?

Congrats in the transition, Luke.
I made the switch a little over a year ago with the Naut mini and the Aspire Atlantis. The Atlantis was too much for starting out and I soon got a SubTank Mini (so I could start rebuilding) to go along with the Naut Mini. So, as someone who has a dear place in their heart for the Naut mini, a few thoughts.
Aspire Triton: have tried my buddy's a few times. Works well. It'll be a different feel to the mini, but it sounds like you have vaping pals, so you might already have some idea of that. Aspire makes good stuff that works at a fair price. You can't go too wrong with this for two reasons: you don't need to spend a lot to get into it and it will give you a different experience.
As far as your other consideration, I have no experience with it, but keep in mind that there is a whole lot if stuff out there, and you might find a few things that don't float your boat, so spend as little as possible on research is my advice. But that's just me. A couple other things to put on your radar:
The Kabuki by House of Hybrids. Never tried one, but I will when they get the special color I want back in stock. It uses the nautilus coils. But people swear they taste a whole lot better than the Naut mini.
A tank that has stock coils and rebuild options. It sounds like you're searching for new things. A rebuild option lets you tinker a bit, but also let's you drop in a coil and go when you want to.

Have fun.

Thanks for the information!
I've definitely been doing research. The local vape shop in the small town I'm in didn't know about the dual Clapton's in the Smok mini, or the sextuplet coils, they assumed they were regular quad kanthol and a triple, now they know lol. But ya, I'm thinking of going the Aspire route for now because it's a smaller coil and I won't have to worry about burning through battery life on a 60 or 70w mod.
Thanks again, I'll look into the Kabuki right now, I don't know whether anyone around here supplies them though

I can't speak for Canada @IronLuke55 but the Triton V2 and the coils are very, very expensive in the UK, so if you get the tank bundled with the kit at a good price and can source the coil heads for cheap, it's a great idea. :)

Aspire vendors have gone totally mad here... it's a depressing. $45 for that tank.

If I wanted that sort of tank (power/cloud) and didn't want to wait to order from China, I'd look at Innokin or Kanger instead.

Hi and welcome. Be aware, in addition to more flavor, you'll also be getting a lot more vapor from subohm coils, and will probably have to decrease nicotine in your juice, and increase tye wattage on your mod to make it work well for you. I don't have either tank, but the TFV is supposed to offer giant cloud and good flavor. However, since you are just starting subohm vaping, the Triton has a 1.8 ohm coil available. If you go that route, and decide you like low watt vaping better-- many people do-- the tank won't have to sit on the shelf and get dusty. Just a thought. Of the two, I'd pick the TFV. But I already know I'm a subohm kind of guy :)

The TFV4 is a big jump. I would go with a Subtank mini next.

I agree. The 1.5 ohm vertical OCC coils are better suited to the mouth-to-lung style hit if that is what you're after. and then when you want to venture into a more open vape, you can use the .5. You also get a rebuildable RBA deck that comes pre-installed with a .5 ohm coil so you can experiment with building your own if you'd like.

Yep the Subtank mini is a very versatile tank. You can go from mouth to lung to nice if a bit restricted lung hits and moderate clouds.
The TFV4 must be ran at over 30 watts and pretty much must be lung inhaled. Most of the coils require 50+ watts. It does come with a little airflow restrictor insert, but it does not work very well. Sure it restricts the airflow but the tank is designed for BIG airflow and it just does not work very well at all.
I have 2 (won both) and still just play with them sometimes. Been vaping over a year and they still do not float my boat.

I bought a TFV4 mini and actually liked using the airflow restrictor (with a reduced driptip). I vaped it mouth to lung with that setup and the airflow completely closed off. The only problem I had with it was it tended to leak every time I refilled it. Probably because it really doesn't shut off the air completely. It's collecting dust right now but I may pull it out to play with it again.

First off most people do not like the Pegusas. It only runs batteries to the half way point and then vape goes down hill quickly so you are changing batteries every couple hours. Most hate the Pegusas and wish they never bought them. I do not have a Trition2 and it may be different but the original Triton tank is not a good choice unless you are going to run it always over 40 watts. TFV4's are good tanks but are you prepared to blow through a 30 ml bottle of juice every couple days? Have you checked the price of the coils? You would be much better off with an Atlantis2 or a Hercules Plus tank. Even a Coolfire 4 Plus kit. Joyetech Cuboid is a good mod.

Best one would be a Joyetech Vtc Mini with a Cubis tank from Canvape for $79. You would have a top system and the best single battery mod on the go at this time. Don't let the cheap price fool you. It is one heck of a system for a very reasonable price.

Then get the TFV4 mini and keep it for when you do not care if you blow through a jug of juice in a day.

CHEERS!

The tfv4 coils arent that expensive. I exclusively run the quad coil. I can get a 5 pack for 17 bucks(then 5% off that) plus shipping. If my order is over 50 bucks, it ships free. I order a few packs of coils at a time for free shipping. The coils last around 3 weeks each for me, and i go through 15-20ml a day. Even if i say they only last 2 weeks, that is still 4 bucks every 2 weeks for coils. I dont see that as being that expensive.

If you dont make your own juice, that is what will be the expensive part. A tfv4 just blasts through juice.

First off what ohm coils have you been using and at what wattage? Have you ever tried subohm vaping before? What mg nicotine are you using? I assume since you are using nautilus tanks then you are vaping Mouth to lung (holding the vapor in your mouth then inhaling like a cigarette). You do realize most subohm tanks require direct lung inhaling due to the amount of airflow they require and also require you to cut your nicotine level in half or even by a third (if you are using 18mg you will need to cut down to at least 6mg).

Are you just wanting to blow bigger clouds? The Nautilus mini is still the best flavor tank out there for Mouth to Lung vaping. There are some subohm tanks out there that will allow you to continue to vape without direct lung but if you are wanting to blow clouds then cutting your nic wayyy down and getting an airy sub tank like the TFV4, Atlantis, Herakles, Crown, etc will definitely get you there.

I'm currently not running any sub ohm coils, and I've already taught myself to do direct inhale from trying out my friends tanks. Not really looking for clouds, I just heard through numerous reviews that both the Triton and TFV4 mini offer a ridiculous amount of flavour, which is what I'm looking for.
I'm aiming more towards the Triton V2 because it does come with a 1.8ohm coil incase I can't handle the subohm, I'll still have no problem using the tank and it won't be a complete waste

Also, I'm down to 6mg of nic, looking to lower anyways and eventually get to 0mg

Add another 30% for our bad dollar and the expense of shipping up from the US to Canada where we both live. So now your 17.99 just got a whole lot more expensive. CHEERS!

I was just curious what wattages and ohms you were using with your nautilus mini. I am assuming 1.5 or 1.8 ohm coils around 8-12 watts? The TFV4 has ok flavor but its mainly a cloud chasing tank. The Triton should give some pretty good flavor. The Atlantis is another great flavor tank. Have you looked at the Crown? That thing is a flavor producing machine. I have been spewing my love for it everywhere lately lol. But I am not the only one. It has really caught a lot of peoples attention. If you are searching for flavor you may want to give it a look.

Thats what I figured. I still keep a mini loaded up at all times on an Istick with a 1.8ohm coil. That tank will probably always be seen as the greatest MTL flavor tank of all time. Be prepared to use a lot more juice when you upgrade to one of these subohm tanks. They use about 3-4 times the juice lol. Thats something I had to get used to as I wasnt expecting that when I first got into subohming.

I guess you could say I'm kind of a hybrid vapor? First 2-3 seconds on the inhale is direct to lung and then the last second is mouth to lung lol. Don't know why, I just enjoy it that way lol

So have you decided which tank you are gonna get? What mod are you currently using?
