The MVP is a tried and true good box mod. I think you can't go wrong with it. Some people might say that it is a bit old, which is true, but it is still a solid and reliable piece.

There is the eleaf istick right now that is all the rage. Uber small, compact and powerful and around 40$... Might be worth to take a look at as well.

Here is the eleaf iStick on the left and the MVP on the right.

Haven't seen it for less anywhere lately, than here for $36.
eLeaf iStick is smaller, and about the same price...but less proven and probably less durable.
There IS a new MVP coming - sometime in the next few months I think, with most certainly higher voltage, and perhaps some other enhancements. Still, it's a well-tested device, and a lot of people love it!

There is actually already a newer version of the MVP out, and there is another new version coming soon! The version that just came out is called the MVP20W, and as I'm sure you can guess it goes up to 20 watts. Here is some info on it:

Details from Innokin: Best choice for holiday season---iTaste MVP 20W - Innokin Official Blog
Two places you can buy it: iTaste MVP 20 Watt | Innokin | Free Shipping & MyVaporStore Search Results: MVP20W
And a sneak peek video on YouTube:

As for the OP's question, the MVP 2.0 is definitely a great option if you don't need to go over 11 watts, I've been using mine for around 6 months with zero issues and I still love it :) The MVP 20 watt obviously isn't as tested as the 2.0, considering it just came out a few days ago, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy one if I needed a new device. So if you need more than 11 watts I would definitely consider buying the new MVP20W. As for the Eleaf iStick, in my opinion it's not worth it, there have been quite a few members who have reported problems with the threading, and it's output signal is very inaccurate.

Of course if you have the money I would recommend the ProVari P3, that's what I wish I had purchased back when I first wanted to upgrade

+1 for the MVP20w. MVPs are practically bulletproof and have a certain charm, so I'm pumped for what's basically a 'suped up and refined MVP2 (even though certain folks are mewling about it not being the MVP3 or 30 or whatever).

Your feelings on the iStick oughta depend on what you're putting on top. It does seem to run a little hot for a lot of the small cheaper clearomizers, and it is kinda cheap, but it's also tiny... and cheap.

I'm two months into the MVP 2.0 and while I love it to death, I already want an upgrade. With everything I've researched that's on the market right now, I think your best bet for budget products is the iPV Mini. It's 30 watts and can run sub-ohms. So if you ever want to get into something like an Atlantis tank or an RDA, you will not be able to with an MVP 2.0 or iStick.

The way I see it, and this is hindsight being 20/20. Before you invest in a mod you need to decide what you want it to do. Keep in mind our tastes and desires changed. The mvp2.0 was my first venture outside of ego land. It served me very well, until I got into rbas a few months later and it got pushed to the side for a provari. The provari served me well until I started ted dripping, and it got pushed to the side for a DNA 30 mod. Had I known then that I would end up with multiple DNA mods I could have saved a ton of money along the way. anything the mvp can do; or, a provari, the DNA can do and more. it will fire an topper on the market the, and it will fire it as safe as and accurate as any other device made.
Right now vapor shark is selling the dna30 mod for a hundred dollars. A few months ago that was 170 dollars. If you don't want to spend that much and try a device similar the ipvmini30 just came out. It was made by "pioneer 4 you."i they make a few other higher wattage devices and those are made well. I don't know much about it other than it houses an sx chip. The maker of that chip dopes make quality electronic components . The device can be found for around 50-55 dollars. If I were in your position that's what I would get. It had a flat dc output, is well made and uses a replaceable 18650 battery

The downside of the istick is that it wont fire below a 1 ohm resistance. So the Atlantis is out, as well with the MVP.
While the MVP is a clean output signal it really won't serve you well for anything other than most clearos and kayfun types. The MVP is also much better built device than the istick. But, its essentially the vv3, which you have, only with a bigger battery, so essentially its a lateral move for you. The mvp20 would be a next step up, but for the same price or close the ipvmimi would be two steps up, and open you up to any style of vaping you may want to explore.

Firebird is on point.
If you can save money. Get a Provari off the classifieds for cheap. Use that while you save money.
Then get a Provari 3, a mech, then a dna device.
I know it's not cheap but trust me buddy u don't want cheap in your vape.

I went cheap and guess what it was more expensive going cheap than to just do expensive once and be happy. Save money. Research. And of course u can get an eleaf for $40 sure why not, but u have to have long vision into the future and make sure you don't spend ur money on more junk

Shhh no tapatalk just me whispering sweet nothings in your ear
