What mg nicotine do you use in rda's?

So I have recently starting using a mech mod (Nemesis mod with stillare rda) and i noticed that it is a bit harsher than I am used to. I primarily use 8 to 12 mg juice on a 1.3 ohm micro coil build with dual coils and i get decent flavor but the throat hit and overall vape is very hot. How do I get a somewhat "cooler" vape? Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you.

What's the pg/vg ratio? Higher pg will give a HARD throat hit. I just started dripping and I was using 50/50 and had to move to 25/75 (pg/vg). I still use 10-12mg of nic.

On regular clearomizer tanks I will vape at 18mg. On a dripper, I am unable to vape more then 6.

drilling out the air holes will also give you a somewhat cooler vape. not sure what the airhole size is on the stillare, but I driled out my igo to 1/16". made a big difference in the draw and temp.

I use 3mg, but I use premium liquid so its offered in 3. When I try to use 6 the throat hit is insane. I can hit a mech mod hard, and I''ve done .06 ohms before on 0MG, so by saying 6mg is too hard in a .3 ohm, means a lot.

The stillare has an adjustable airflow system which is basically a long slit down the base of the head. I would guess wide open would be about the equivalent of a 3 mm air hole on each side. I vape a 50/50 vg/pg blend so maybe I need to steer towards higher vg. I guess i should try lowering my nic level as well. Thanks for all the suggestions!

I drip 50/50/6mg on my Stillare, right now on a .2ohm build.

If your .6ohm is hot try opening up the airflow. My build is warm but not hot and the airflow is open about 2/3.

Try using a larger gauge wire it takes longer to heat up and also gives a denser vape also increasing the size of the coil will do the same thing just do the math or use the steam engine coil calculator to get your desired resistance. another thing that i have found is that if you have too much wick it blocks the airflow and the vape gets hotter also making sure the air holes align with the coils helps keep them cooler and gives a better vape as well. i have the same setup nemi with a stillare and what i do is keep the coils as open as possible and about 5mm from the deck with just enough cotton to rest on the deck to efficiently wick but not block airflow.

I drip exclusively 0mg nic.

3mg makes me cough, 6mg gets me super buzzed, and 12 mg puts me to sleep lol.

I donno how you vape, but I run my RDAs wide open and take the vapor straight to my lungs. The increased airflow help cool down the vapor A LOT. If you're a mouth hitter though, maybe get a longer driptip so that the vapor has more time to cool down before your mouth?

I drip 6mg unless I can find 3mg which I have done with namberjuice. It's Max VG. I don't get the hot vape even with a .32 ohm build on my TOBH so not comment on that one.

I drip 6mg in most premium juices as most tend to have a significantly higher VG content. Currently dripping Cape Fear JuiceCo. Chicora 6mg, on a .16ohm 22g continuous build in my copper TOBH. Not too hot & great flavor!

I mix my own liquid. Since I'm using rba's I dropped my nicotine-level from 18mg to 3mg within one week! More taste and enough throathit!

Thanks everyone for the replys! I recently lowered my Nic level to 3-4 mg and it's working out perfectly. I also descovered that I was wicking the coils wrong. I was using way too much cotton so I was actually choking out the coil. It is much less harsh now that I've found my "sweet spot". Thanks again for all the suggestions.

Most dripper heads like me go no higher than 6mg but if your vaping in a cloud competition you go 0 nic. We also go HIGH VG. My best drippers are my Tobhs. Next in line is my Hcigar Mega and Cat. Still have an L and a W along with a storm a though.

The max I'll drip is 12mg but it's realllly rough especially on a mech (opposed to a DNA 30)... 6mg is my preferred. I might even move down to 3mg to be honest. Throat hits are killer unless you're running mostly VG

80% or higher VG and 6mg or lower nicotine seems to give me the best experience. You sacrifice flavor intensity as you go up in VG, but you gain cloud density as well. It's a delicate balance you need to find that works best for you and your needs.

I have been using 15mg diy juice on my nimbus clone since I got it a month back, recently quit smoking so I need the higher nic levels. I make my juice at 70vg30pg.

I tried many different builds, different wicks etc to figure out maximum flavor methods. There is a few things that effect the flavor, how hard you inhale, how wet your wick is, and how your coil resistance is matched to your available airflow.

Maybe because I just quit smoking, but for me even with some 18mg mostly pg liquid the throat hit wasn't a big deal. Although the 24mg Aroma GI Joe I just got has a Wicked good throat hit I must admit!

So yesterday I drilled the airholes out to 2x 2mm holes on each side, with a 1ohm build. Now even 100% VG juice is harsh! My guess is the coil can't keep up with the high airflow...
