“We considered the prominence of the heavy vapour throughout the ad, in conjunction with the music, the shots of the couple, and the softly spoken voice-over, which contributed to the ad’s sultry and glamorous tone, created a strong association with traditional tobacco smoking. "

Um... huh? because the ad had people in it, and played music, and showed people having fun, we associated it with smoking... what?

They do realize that the "children" they're always worried about have never seen those old cigarette ads, right?

Having too much fun is illegal most places.

^^^ This. The sanctimonious nannycrats are slowly but surely "denormalizing" fun. Eventually all fun will be outlawed and prosecuted under Orwellian ungood behavior or thoughtcrime regulations

When I see someone who is actually smoking I seldom think, "Now there goes a sultry glamorous person."

It doesn't matter if they are smoking or not.
I always think that when there is someone doing anything crass.

That thought works best when reading YouTube comments and Twitter.
