still waiting for marlboro 555 hilton and flue cured tabacco to come,i just spoke to loongtotem and they told me that now the are starting to put new flavours for cartdriges on site soon they will have alot more to come,

50depots for Electronic Cigarette - Mini E-cigarette cartridge - Loongtotem,Mini Electronic Cigarette V9

Well, that is a start toward making hteir sire more user/consumer friendly, hopefully they will have all the flavors in the drop down list soon- I assume tneir 'tobacco' flavor is the one everyone objects to- would be nice if htey'd stick the 'flu-cured' and 555 and other tobacco flavored flavors in soon.

For me, that $50 battery is a deal-breaker. I sure hope an adapter ring is possible, so one battery can power a mini and the LoongTotem disposable. I've been involved in audio in years past and I have so many male-female plug adapters that I could fill a small room. I also have Series 7 camera filter rings, so one filter could be used on numerous camera front threads. We all need the same standardization with e-devices, to achieve better parts interchangability.

Agreed- would be great to be able to use other cartridges that currently don't fit our penstyl;es even. I don't htink loongtotem will like it too much if we're able to do this htough as they I beleive made their batteries purposely a different size to keep their parts exclusive. But hopefully we can overcome this somehow

i think thats the idea...i wish there was more information on it...

Could be wrong (frequently am) but I think you smoke that thing as is. Looks to me like you'd slide the gold bar aside and take a hit. They seem to be trying to overcome the crap battery-life factor by incorporating a bigger, non-tubular design. Somebody thought a half-assed cigarette lighter would work for us...

darcy is right.. its an atomizer powered by a bloody great battery.. made to look like a zippo..

shame they feel the need to use some kinda gimmick to sell these things.. one day i will get around to making my own using a single decent size of the shelf lithium cell and cheap generic atomizer.. i know exacly how to but just cant be arsed to get around to making one..

price is king and it will be way tooo much for me to pay.. not for the big battery but the atomizer cart consumables will be..

a gimmick for techno geeks to play with and impress their friends

trog

ps.. i am being a bit lazy here like waiting for my youngest son to do the donkey work which is sourcing the bits.. he is probably doing the same waiting for me.. he he he

You gotta do one thing or the other (I call this the Kindergarten Cop effect - Arnie wasn't brave enough to go completely cute, so the film opens with big psycho Arnie before melting into big teddy Arnie. Still a pretty good movie, though)

Anyway, if it's a good idea to break with the cigarette form factor, break all the way (like KnutselPeter's funky little smokebox). Leaving half a ... sticking out the top is complete .......

Hey Mixos- any updates on the taste of the different flavor cartridges yet?

Myself and Miss Diane should be receiving this week hopefully. So we will try and do some sort of write-up of what we think but we have only ordered regular tobacco flavour because we weren't given a choice and were told at that present time. To have a choice we would have to order least 5000 carts. If you look in Miss Diane other posts you will see that we have not been able to try out this fully yet because they've forgotten the charger which is all explained in other posts.
People who have already got this brand don't really say if gives you that hit in the throat which I cannot wait to try and find out
Because of the low nicotine level in their carts so that will be interesting to know.

Ned- on their site, they now have a dropdown list where you cna order different flavor cartridges in any amount you like. The original tobacco flavor (the one htta coems with hte kits) is hte one givign hte worst taste from what posters have said- I hope you get hte 'updated' tobacco flavor that Phillips talks abotu so we have a good review of how it tastes- otherwise, if ya get hte original, it might be pretty bad taste.

Please do keep us posted o nyour experience with these ciggs- I'm on verge of ordering, but am waitign on a few things, one being the reviews of loongtotem cigg, and another, reviews on the GreenCigg to see how it compares to hte loong.

I've got one of these and although it gives off lots of smoke there is ZERO hit in the back of the throat. I'm told by Loong Totem that the tobaco cartridges have been changed and are different to the original ones I have so hopefully there will be an improvement.
i hope the new flavours do better,cos...
zero throat action = waste of time and money.

Hi
Nazareth
thanks for your reply I did notice the other day myself that they were now giving you that drop down list choice. That choice didn't exist when we made our original order so what cartridges we get who knows.
I do have 20 tobacco cartridges here at the moment but. So which ones these are who knows. We have also ordered another 50 cartridges plus another one battery Kit or should I say forced to. See Miss Diane's post regarding this.
So I will have to try a cartridge out of the pack of 20 we already have plus try one in the new pack of 50 and see if we can tell the difference between the two packs. Then hopefully that will answer whether we have the old ones or updated ones but if they all taste the same who knows what we will have.

Oh i thing i forgot to say is,from my 2 weeks with this device i can say that the batteries on the v9 dont last that long ,max 3 hours which is not that good ,so you will always need to carry a spear battery on you.maybe its because i got the smallest one they have ,even though they say it dosent matter what size you get they all last the same[which is bull****]so i am saying anyone who will buy the v9 to get the second largest battery or the largest if you dont want to be playing with charging and charging routines.
But still makes smoke like a chimmny
