Yep- the shippping fee and battery price is a big concern- however, if you figure it this way, it's not so bad- once you are set up, with hte initial high cost, it woudl still be substantially cheaper than regular esmoking, as all you would have to buy after that would be the cartridges. It might hurt at first to shell out hte money, but it will quickly make up for the high price by the savings i nthe end.
I can't remember what batteries he got to work with the loong (MaybePM him to find out, or search his posts- He posted it in his own thread I think- but it would be easier to just ask him which batteries)- but like I said- the threads were different, and he had to hold the two pieces together, but it did work- Like I mentioned, you might be able to wrap a small piece of teflon tape around the thread of the cartridge (or hte battery, which ever one is hte male part) and snug it up enough that another battery might work- it's worth a try anyways- I know it would be a bit more hassel to do this extra step- but if we could find batteries that will work, but just don't quite fit, but could be snugged up with hte tape enough to secure the cart to the battery, then it might be worth it to use other batteries, as they are generally MUCH cheaper than the loongtotem batteries- htus solving hte one big issue with the loongtotem- the battery price- And let's hope the health ecig battery pack will fit hte loong- probably it won't, but it sure would be nice if it does-.
Have you tried any penstyle batteries with the L.T? and have you tried just holding soem of your mini batteries to the cartridge and drawign htrough them to see if you can at least get it to make vapor? If you can, then perhaps we can rig somethign up somehow- T.B is trying to see if he can get a stepdown ring made for hte battery he got workign with the L.T. might be able to do that with other batteries too
