Hey guys
Got my v10 battery from loongtotem today, they sent it to me free after stuffing me around with the cartridge flavours. This battery is longer then the ones that came with the orginal v9, its about .5cm less then a yently battery. I will stick it on the charger now and report back when i start to use it, to see if there is any improvement

They also sent me the USB charger, so ill see how that goes too

did you order hte usb charger? Or did they send it for free? Still waiting on my loongtotem to arrive- got hte shorter batteries with mine, but hoping I can find other batteries that will fit the loong- doubt I'll find any, but would be nice- also Check out TB's DealExtreme thread- He's waiting on a cigg pack charger and batteries that he suspects might fit the loong- hopefully it will as the charger pack looks quite good and would be an awsome compliment to hte loong if it works- only $17 for the pack and free shipping

The usb charger was free too. I have the shorter batteries too, and they r pretty average, just make sure u wait for the charger light to turn a true green coz it goes like red-orange-yellow-green.

I have seen the other thread and it would be good to have battery that lasts longer and can still produce huge amounts of vapour, but on the otherhand i like how small the v9 is and how it almost feels like a real cigarette in the hand.

ok guys, been abit busy but finally got around to trying out the v10.......

so after having it on charge, i screwed it into a cartridge and........

NOTHING!!!

The bloody thing does work!!!!!!! When u disconnect the cartridge and suck on the battery the led glows red, but when u connect it to the cartridge nothing happens no led no smoke!!!!!!!

And the usb charger thing doesnt appear to work very well either!!!

Pretty dissapointed! The cartridge/atomiser works great! makes heaps of vapour and lasts for ages but they cant get the battery worked out!!!! the small ones work well, but only last like 2 hours max!! but for those 2 hours there are no problems! but once they run out ur screwed coz charging takes 4-5hours!!!!

Just try to put this down as a bloody nightmare of an experience and go and buy yourself a janty kissbox classic or sedansa diva like me. And you've got to put this down to a bad experience and move on.
I feel for you mate.

Did you try the battery with other brand minis? Doubt it will fit, but worth a try. I think probably hte thing to do is to buy a couple more batteries, and another charger & just keep rotating them out. Also note that TB has ordered a porta pack from Deal Extreme that might just fit the loong- he should get it in a day or two- if that pack fits the loong, it will be a perfect marriage as it's only $17 (free shipping too) and it would give you another charger and battery (although it's a U.S plug)- Also He got another battery to work with the loongtotem cartridges you sent him- but he had to hold them together- there might be away to make it work though, perhaps with soem teflon tape aroudn the atomizer threads to snug the fit up a bit- a little extra work for sure, but if you have a mini battery that is a bit smaller or bigger in the threads, perhaps try this technique as well. Don't give up as there may be several fixes for htis situaiton yet.

Ned- I'm not sure why you insist the situaiton is a 'nightmare'- buying another charger and a coupel more batteries would certainly solve htis situaion quite nicely- The product itself isn't failing and according to hte reviews, it produces alot more vapor and for a lot longer period of time than any other mini on the market, and hte only real downside that I can see is that the batteries don't last too long charged, and they cost an arm and leg (the only other downside I can see is the customer service), but once you're set up sufficiently, you shoudl be good to go for quite some time- Is there somethign more substantial that you object to abotu the loong?

listen ned i did buy a janty kissbox and belive me its great, but its nothing like the v9 , ok the janty looks nice ,flavours are ok, easy drag, but the vapour isnt just there for me .i will wait and see what loongtotem will tell me this time ,about the battery.
i have 5 diffrent e smokes, and yes alot of vapour is important to me ,i like felling it in my lungs ,but thats me.
i cant understand these guys the hardest part of making a good e smoke is the atomizer and cartdrige life ,loongtotem have made this but they are stuck on the easiest part the BATTERY ,unbelievable ,get your act together

That'sd my feelings exactly- they seem ot have nailed the atomizer construction, but the weak link is the batteries (and perhaps the taste of their standard liquid)- That's why I'm hoping an alternative battery can be found for the loong.

Naz,if the batteries werent so outrageously priced,id have bought an LT ages ago,and i bet many, many others would have too, just to test it out...and theyd have sold far more units, and consequently far more cartridges.

their pricing strategy will be their downfall...that and the fact that the bloody batteries dont work well at all.

Nazareth. The problem with keep getting new batteries isn't buying the batteries it's their dam shipping prices for instance it would cost me about £25 shipping fee but for me to get one new battery or they scam you to have more cartridges.
This cigarette that TB is buying to me by the photographs don't look much like L. T. but I may be wrong. Or so what battery is TB used to get his cartridges going.
none of my batteries will fit L. T.

Yep- the shippping fee and battery price is a big concern- however, if you figure it this way, it's not so bad- once you are set up, with hte initial high cost, it woudl still be substantially cheaper than regular esmoking, as all you would have to buy after that would be the cartridges. It might hurt at first to shell out hte money, but it will quickly make up for the high price by the savings i nthe end.

I can't remember what batteries he got to work with the loong (MaybePM him to find out, or search his posts- He posted it in his own thread I think- but it would be easier to just ask him which batteries)- but like I said- the threads were different, and he had to hold the two pieces together, but it did work- Like I mentioned, you might be able to wrap a small piece of teflon tape around the thread of the cartridge (or hte battery, which ever one is hte male part) and snug it up enough that another battery might work- it's worth a try anyways- I know it would be a bit more hassel to do this extra step- but if we could find batteries that will work, but just don't quite fit, but could be snugged up with hte tape enough to secure the cart to the battery, then it might be worth it to use other batteries, as they are generally MUCH cheaper than the loongtotem batteries- htus solving hte one big issue with the loongtotem- the battery price- And let's hope the health ecig battery pack will fit hte loong- probably it won't, but it sure would be nice if it does-.

Have you tried any penstyle batteries with the L.T? and have you tried just holding soem of your mini batteries to the cartridge and drawign htrough them to see if you can at least get it to make vapor? If you can, then perhaps we can rig somethign up somehow- T.B is trying to see if he can get a stepdown ring made for hte battery he got workign with the L.T. might be able to do that with other batteries too

I just saw the loongtotem v10b for $35.95 w/ 1 battery and 4 carts and a usb charger. The kit has the "smart" battery. Has anyone had any luck with these?
I am thinking about getting the v9b 2 battery kit, and the v10b with the USB for under $100 + shipping and additional carts. This will give me 2 ecigs and 3 batteries. I am starting out my gf on vaping instead of analogs, and want the intro to be easy. Then I might switch to refilling a 901 later. Let me know any suggestions.
