I just got my order in with some of the AW IMR 16340 batteries. I like the performance better than the non-IMRs, but I noticed that the battery does not fit as snugly. There's quite a bit of wiggle room inside the tube, and I can feel it jiggle both side-to-side and up-and-down. The side-to-side wiggle should be easy to fix by just wrapping something around the battery to wedge it in a bit, but I'm not sure of what to do to fix the up-and-down jiggle. In order to get it to fire I have to press the button pretty much all the way down, and it feels as though I'm pressing it down more than I should need to. Any ideas?

It's for the P16. I removed the bottom cap and there is a "ledge" that the spring rests on so I don't think that stretching the spring will have much of an effect. The bottom of the battery rests on an o-ring, so I'm thinking that a slightly thicker o-ring may do the trick. Any ideas on what size the existing o-ring is and how much larger I should go (if in fact that is the proper solution)?

It comes stock with a .100 Oring, but I also include a .070 Oring in the parts bag. Verify that you have a .100 in there to start and if that is loose, add the .070 on top of it, giving you .170 thickness. If you find that is too tight, then you can run two .070 orings for .140 thickness. If you need another .070, let me know! You won't want to wrap tape around it, nor is it necessary, once you get the proper Orings in place, you'll have no play side to side or up and down.

hope that helps!

Thanks David. I had a feeling that it had something to do with the o-rings. There is an o-ring already in place, and I can only assume that it's the .100 size. I didn't receive any other o-rings in the package you sent me. Are these a common sized o-ring that I can grab at my local hardware store?

No, you wouldn't likely find them at your hardware store. Shoot me your address in a PM and i'll get you out a couple.

Best,

david
