A good promotional piece from an industry leader.

He might perhaps have used some health facts to make the case better, as it came across as a theoretical / lobbying piece rather than as a presentation of the advantages and backed by facts. For example: how deregulation of THR has made Sweden the world leader in reducing smoking death and disease. How Sweden is the only western country with any chance of reducing smoking mortality to very low or even insignificant proportions. How Sweden has the lowest male lung cancer and oral cancer rate in Europe. And, how it cost the Swedish taxpayer precisely zero.

The theory is all very well but if we have the facts then why not use them.

We see e-cigarettes as a product that has the potential to play a critical role in the national harm reduction discussion and affords our company a seat at the table in this debate.

And that's the sad truth. Blu cigs now have a seat at the table that most end user's can't aspire to. He has written the article in legislature policy-speak very well - particualy the spin on their role in the states. The FDA may have an end game, but so do the tobacco companies.
