I use cotton with my Kraken...I add just a little bit of extra cotton at the wick holes to make sure the wick hole are completely plugged. Then instead of leaving the fill hole completely open I use a toothpick as a plug. I cut the toothpick along it length so if you look at it from top it looks like a D instead of a circle. I have done 0.6ohm dual coil builds with absolutely no wicking issues. I can go though the hole tank to literally the last drop without a dry hit. The great thing about the toothpick plug is that my Kraken is 100% leak proof. I exclusively lay it on it side without any leaking. I can carry it everywhere with me without worrying about leaking. You might want to try this out...its very easy to do.

Are you using it as a dripper?

UPDATE:
The dual setup is working pretty good, seems like the Kraken works better with dual coils, the coils get hot without glowing when it fires with the juice.Three tanks going now,I-atty,Kraken and the RSST.Vaping Peanut Butter from TFA,ry4 from Hangsen and Cola from FA.....i really like the peanut butter.

Definitely not...I stopped using ss mesh a while back. SS mesh has way too much heat sink effect...half you wattage goes into heating up the ss mesh instead of vaporizing the liquid...its not very efficient. Also with ss mesh you end up boiling your liquid...that's why your liquids get darker and darker as you vape. My favorite juice would get like a 100 shades darker by the end of the tank. With cotton my juice doesn't get one shade darker as I vape.

Anyway, what I mentioned regarding the toothpick plug can be done with ss mesh. You just have to make sure the wick holes are plugged and then with the toothpick semi plugging the fill hole....you will have a leak free device.

Try a q-tip stick, works great too,the ones i have fit perfect in the Kracken fill hole, nice and snug.

I used to see a definite difference in colors when I refilled a half-full tank. I no longer have that problem. Not sure why. So far I only have 2 ideas. Either less oxidation. I just give my wicks a little juice burn to degunkify them of any oils and stuff. Or, wicks may be more snug in the wick hole so I don't have a "layer" of liquid being trapped in there, getting cooked repeatedly. May be I'm completely wrong, but there is no difference in color when I re-fill.

It also has to do a lot with the type of juice you're using. Some juices get a lot darker and others hardly if at all. I also used unoxidized wicks...one of my ry4 juices would still get 100 shades darker...which means it was being boiled. Some juices don't get darker when they boil. Making the wick more solid definitely helps...but it also causes more heat sink effect.
