Lost advanced editing

I've tried 2 different browsers, cleared all cookies, cache in both, logged in and out and again, but still do not have access to the advanced editing options. Actually even in quick reply, there are no options shown at all except smiley's.What else can I try, please?

If you have a script blocker on your browsers you need to allow : netdna-cdn

That's a content delivery network that ECF is using. The script has been active for a couple of weeks.

Have now used IE9, Firefox and Chrome and am still having reply issues. No script blocker... but that wouldn't affect all 3 browsers anyway, would it? Or maybe it is a system setting that changed? All was working fine yesterday... now in order to "reply with quote" I have to right click and open in new tab otherwise just get a spinning ball with no results.

you can always make your own image brackets, etc!

That's just what I have been doing all day... tagging my replies, that's after I open them in a new tab. Lawdy, one time I had 5 ECF tabs open that I'd forgot about!

Try flushing your DNS,,, Go to Command prompt, right click run as admin, type in Ipconfig/flushDNS then restart your system, see if this works CalamityJan

I forgot how spoiled Win7 has me.. took a minute to remember where the command prompt was! I ran it just as you suggested, DNS cleared successfully and it took a few to get my connectivity back.............. anyway, no improvement! Taking another screenshot to show you what advanced reply looks like. Void of editing functions... dam!

I had the same issue as you and it was caused by the blocked script. [I'm using FF + NoScript.] It's unlikely it's the same for you considering it's the three browsers.... don't know any similar software that works on all three. You didn't mention any new software since yesterday, so sounds like you need the help of ECF admin. Someone will come to the rescue...

Thanks progg, but no new software and the only changes I've made were to IE9 back during the social media button fiasco. All has been well since that time and this is in all three 'clean' browsers. Will just wait and see iffin the forum guru's have a suggestion, but it'is a real PIA!

I switch your advanced editor off then back on, see if that makes a difference. I didn't see anything obvious that would prevent you receiving the advanced editor.

Thanks for the try Joker, but I still have to right click on 'reply with quote' and still no formatting options. It must be mine but for the life of me I don't know what else to try. No adblocks or unusual privacy settings, uninstalled both Firefox and Chrome and still not right in either. My dealsite forum is OK as is another I visit occasionally... even Photoshop Forum (heavy with graphics) is working fine.Got a tech headache now so will think tomorrow. Thanks again...

Thank you kind sir, but I just ran this machine thru every program I have, malwarebytes, ccleaner, spybot, etc. and voila, both Firefox and Chrome are showing all forum options correctly again. I believe it was something in my registry that was messed up.

Thanks to everyone who gave me troubleshooting tips to work through the problem... you guys are awesome!!
