I've ben searching for the last half hour, what mints are "now" deemed safe to use with plastic tanks?

I was planning on mixing up a wintergreen juice, but don't want to melt/crack the tanks on my new egrips.

Every mint I searched came up with reports of it damaging plasic, which is why I'm lost in the sea of info. No one discloses how much was used, ect.

Do a search on here for Tank Crackers Lots of scattered information. Cinnamon, citrus, wintergreen are tank crackers but not all citrus will crack tanks. The FA orange is not a tank cracker and the CAP lemon meringue pie is not a tank cracker. so some are and some are not. I think all the hot cinnamon ones are and so are the wintergreen. Not sure about peppermint. I try my citrus mizes first in an elcheapo Evod tank and if it survives I use it on other poly tanks. I have a few glass Protanks for the real crackers like strong lemon.

For the last few months my ADV was/is this Marlboro menthol by hangsen.

The mint is not heavy, but tastes exactly like the green sticks of 5 brand gum. I'm assuming that's wintergreen?

If all wintergreen cracks plastic, then how has this juice survived in my tanks thus far?

Like you point out the info is super scattered, and on that note very unprescise as most don't disclose brand name or other details.

I just want to make a simple mint juice (anything but pepermint) that I can "safely" mix in plastic bottles and vape without something failing...

Perhaps not all wintergreen is a tank cracker and perhaps lighter ratios of the flavoring is not a tank cracker.
And yes the information on what is a tank cracker and what is not is pathetic.
Sometimes the vendor will have information on tank cracking juices. I do not think the manufacturers will ever have that information since they do not OFFICIALLY sell their product for vaping.
You might try googling tank cracking ejuice?
Surely someone has a good list somewhere?
I am not sure that the peppermints are tank crackers but since I hate peppermint I will never personally find out ;)
I know that if you are using a plastic syringe and suck up some flavoring let it sit a bit and then put it back in the bottle and you syringe is still ok without binding up and such the flavoring is likely to NOT be a tank cracker. Or at least not a bad one. I have some lemon flavoring that will jam up a syringe with one use. I have other lemon flavoring that is not an issue with the syringe and that one is the one that I use.

I didn't have my kayfun crack but the Loranns wintergreen clouded it but if I didn't catch it when I did then it probably could have decomposed. I like a mint but without the menthol so I haven't bought many mints but a couple I like are Loranns creame du menthe and FW spearmint. I found the Loranns wintergreen to medicinal tasting along with clouding my tank so its on the shelf of shame.
I made my mint with a blend of 6% Hangsen No5 with a TA, 1.5% Loranns creame du menthe and its a subtle but not strong, its not bad at all and it vapes just fine in my kayfun with no ill effects on the tank.
My FW spearmint, I made a made a while back and as a standalone...meh, so I'll revisit once I run out of this rather good LA creame du menthe/No5 blend. I am willing to bet the FW spearmint will shine once it gets blended with a Hangsen tobac but I won't find out if the spearmint clouds my tank until it actually happens.
I always use a protank to test my new brews before they go into my kayfun, much easier to clean and rewick so I take one for the team if the kayfun tank clouds.

I haven't really looked at Hangsen flavors much, but i would check their flavors and see if they have a spearmint or wintergreen.I would guess if they have that flavor,it's probably the same as what they use in their juices.

Shopping at wizard labs, sadly they don't have hangsen flavors :/

But I was looking at inwerta flavorings and came across a flavor called "frost". it's a sweetened spearmint/pepermint flavoring, and I couldn't find anything on google about it melting/cracking plastic. A few people enjoy it as a single flavor mix as their adv, so I'm assuming it's safe.

It sounds like exactly what I was looking for.

I may be an "expert" on mints? Been using them for years...

But I would never have polycarb in any of my vape gear, so would never have any clue as to which is fine with polycarb. It makes great lenses and bullet resistant windows, but a number of chemicals common, and harmless, in food can turn it into goo. Just a silly material choice for a designer to pick.

(and I'm a product designer, but I've only used polycarb for ballistic resistant enclosures.)

How about menthol crystals?

AlterUrEgo there are 2 LA Wintergreens I think you used the oil?? I have the other and no cloudiness at all.
The Loranns wintergreen I have the bottle says its a flavor. I did buy and try the spearmint oil not knowing any better and almost barfed. I found my first DIY flavorings (Loranns) in a dollar store called Bulk Barn and bought 1 of each of the flavors they had, It wasn't till after I tried a few, some good some YUK then began to research I found out not to use the oils.
I'm assuming I made, like I make with all my flavors on the first run a 5% Loranns Wintergreen and it was brutal, I find their Creame du Menthe a far nicer mint at 1 1/2% in one of my Hangsen tobacs.
