First time poster looking to get past my spam checks so I can post in topics worth talking about and ask questions in the ones I dont understand.

Today I got my first PV as I sit here smoking my anolog.. Picked up a 510 with 4 bottles of different juices.

Needless to say im on my way but sooooo lost. Seeing in its pointless to read for the next 5 posts as I cant ask questions on what im reading... Any starter advice ?

You can ask your questions here - its not all newbies - a lot of us vets hang around to try n bring light to the dark corners too :)
LOL, my questions are about some of the threads I was reading. Not really about myself and yeada yeada but what they are doing and why. Im jut stuck waiting for a over night charge on these batteries. I do have lots of cart questions about the 510. I need to sit and read a lil more to get a firm grasp on all this.

Thanks for both replies

OK first real question and some worthless banter....

I got this stuff in a retail "head shop" Headlines in NH. I asked for high nic. I was handed a tray of bottles all 18mg. I knew the kids that were behind the counter were clueless. Bad part was, so am I. I just read in a thread about 32 MG and such. I know I vaped about 8-10 pulls of the high cart that was in the kit then preceded to smoke a Marlboro there after. I think more to clear the taste out of my mouth. But never the less, I smoke 2 packs of anos a day. My issue is I enjoy it... at 8+ bucks a pack its killing me in more ways then just my wallet... but that is my motivation, Money. Not that I truly want to quit. Its more its just time to move on. I already know I'm going to need some of this 32 MG stuff...

This seams to be a multi - label vendor driven forum (I dont care for that). I know most of this stuff is out of one building and 30-300 people sell it as their own. I know the 4 bottles I do have, dont even have a mfgrs labels on them. The bottle is stamped with dates (factory) but it looks to be a label your self deal after that.. That tells me there is competitive motivation to sell it.

Who can I get small free samples from? Being they are a dime a dozen, some person out there wants to get me as the next loyal customer. Anyone know who this retailer is and possibly get me a thread or PM box to talk to about it ?

Where are my manners! ... Please ? :) lol thanks for all the quick replies and warm welcomes. 1 more ? while I have your attn. Why the drink water posts?

Vapers need to keep hydrated as both VG and PG (the carrier liquids used to 'hold' liquid nicotine) are humectants and can dry out mucus membranes.
As for your questions about 'free samples'...um...I really don't know what to say. This isn't a multi-label vendor driven forum - its for people wanting to use PV and who may have questions about the confusing array currently available or jsut questions on them in general. The site owener is a normal everyday person, he doesn't sell PV. We have vendors on here who must adhere to strict guidelines, one of which is that they cannot post in most areas except their own.
I doubt you'll get anyone offering you something for nothing though.

Well you won't get free samples from vendors, some like vapor bomb will throw in a free 5ml bottle of liquid when you place an order with them and most offer cheap samples usually in 5ml bottle but you still have to buy them.
Drinking plenty of fluids is needed because PG and VG (the carrying component of the E Juice) dries you out.

Thanks on the water answers! That is very good to know.

I was not looking for something for nothing as in straight up free just who is the one making the sales. Ill ask it this route instead... who-= IYHO=- has a corner of the juice market. IE: where are most people going to get supplies to mix ETC. Looking to vaper bomb now..

@Captjay
As far as the forum owner goes, I was not going there. Nore was that a insult... So, no need for defense. This place is a marketing master piece ----> but!!! Not what that statement was leading at, at all. It just has soooooo many venders selling the same stuff, so it's hard to get a gauge on whats best. I dont see venders posting in my thread or id just ignore them. This seams very well run, just a lil to over populated more so waiting for the server to let me in... I have come in to "the server is too busy" a few times tonight. When in the forum, the page loads are not bad so ehhh dont matter...

It's not as much "all the same stuff" as it looks. Most of the US juice vendors mix their own, and they all have different flavors / qualities. What you most likely got at the head shop was cheap, rebottled Chinese juice, which is not very good. Try a couple different US brands and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

The hardware isn't all the same either. Sure, with the exception of some of the better mods, it does all come out of China. But there are several different companies making their own versions of stuff. A "510 kit" might have been made by Joye, or bauway, or SLB, or DSE, or some other factory. The fact that they're rarely labeled with the MFG's name makes it all the harder.

But even though they're not all the same, I admit a lot of the hardware is very similar. Your best bet is to read the vendor reviews and the vendor forums to find somebody who is going to give you decent prices and good service. Personally, I'm a big fan of madvapes. They are one of the few shops that carries a really good selection of batteries and DIY mod parts, and the guy that runs the place is top notch.

Welcome JcP! These are lithium ion batteries. The instructions that tell you to charge 8 hours on the first charge are a holdover from older battery technologies such as NiCad. Any charging beyond the green light is merely a waste of electricity.

Many vapers rave about Mrs. T's e-juice, but she's a one-person shop and makes everything to order so it can take over a week to get anything. I haven't tried Johnson Creek yet; they're next on my list. I've tried Awesome Vapor and Vapor Station juices; they both have a considerable variety. Awesome Vapor is mostly PG-based, and I prefer VG juice. I haven't yet found a tobacco flavor that's a great all-day vape, but I'm a newby too so I just need to keep trying new things.

I smoked 2 packs/day for nearly 30 years, and 24 mg juice works well for me. If you get 32 mg juice, you might want to also get some 0 nic juice to cut it with in case it starts making you dizzy.

I haven't quit smoking yet, but I've cut back by half. I may be able to quit now that I've discovered vaping, but I don't want to be too ambitious lest I become disappointed. For now I'm good knowing that I don't smell like an ashtray around my co-workers. After your initial outlay, you'll definitely start saving money and deprive the government of some tax revenues.

Good Luck!

Good info... Thanks for the reply and thanks more for referring me here from my forum. You may have improved my heath and changed my life w/o even trying.

Today is my first full day of Vaping... So far I like it. I've had this thing hanging out of my mouth since I woke up. 6 hours and 2 anologs. The number when I'm surfing the net is normally up to 4 anos a hour... This is w/o truly tryng not to smoke anos .. I have a carton to kill off b4 I walk away from them .. not tossing 90 bucks in the trash. (yet) ;)

I am a avid R/C enthusiast. I am up to date on all battery technology ATM. I literally have thousands of dollars in battery's and hi tech chargers for them... Mods are in my future lol

Good info ... Have you tried Mrs.T's ? That sounds third person. What in your opinion are the differences in the PG/VG?? I have great interest in this subject.

Good advice and thanks for this. I will do this, as we seam to have similar analog habits.

Thank you for the welcome !

avid RC enthusaist Id say mods were definitely in your future! lol
PG and VG - you can read about them both here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...able-glycerin-vg-polyethylene-glycol-peg.html but hte quick n dirty version is

PG - this gives more taste and TH. Can be a little rough at 100%, some people have sensitivity to it
VG - this gives more vapor. Can often (reduce) flavor strength, can add sweetness

Personally I use an 80/20 PG/VG mix for all the liquids I buy from vendors. I find this gives me a good spread of taste and vapor. TH isn't that important to me so for juices that I think have too much of it (some flavors seem to deliver more TH, like mint/menthols) I might go for a higher percentage of VG on the next purchase.
