earlier this week i was posting about how i couldnt vape much cause i had a cold and a sore throat. the soar throat went away but everything still kinda stuck around and im still fighting it off today. my problem is i have lost my since of taste and smell. naturally this affects my vaping because i cant taste a friggin thing and im to scarred that i wont taste win a carto is starting to empty out and ill end up burning it up.

anyone else ever had this problem? this isnt like a minor "o this doesnt taste right." its more like a "i taste absolutely nothing" type of problem. i have been doing some research online and i read its pretty common and in some cases can be permanent!! i hope im not one of those cases....

i guess in the mean time i just have to be patient to have ms ts tasty goodness:closedeyes:

I think we've all been there, at one point or another. Take advantage of this time by vaping all the juices you didn't care for before, since you can't taste it anyway. That way, your favs will be there when your taste comes back.

BTW, cold medicine (especially liquid decongestants) can render your taste buds useless for quite some time. If you're going to take a decongestant do so in pill form (Loritadine works wonders for nasal stuffiness).

If you have a strong menthol, or any kind of strong mint, vape on that until this goes away.

Ditto on what NaturesEncore said. I have awful allergies in the spring and fall. When the nose is off, I immediately hit the peppermint. I find that "cool" flavors like peppermint can actually be soothing on the throat and nasal passages. If you have anything going on beyond a week, be sure to check with your physician and make sure you don't have something more serious going on. Colds and allergies can easily lead to sinus infections that require antibiotics. No worries, though, in time you will be back to vaping speed.

Get well soon. :)
