I need a veterans advice. I'm 30 days minus kill-sticks and purchased and EGO 650 LED starter kit with clearomizers. First bottle of juice was Zeus juice, both awesome and the flavor was fantastic. 2 weeks went by and the clearos finally died, tried a new different one that had replaceable heads and the vape was harsh and the flavor was muted. Bought a carto tank and the vapor was good but the flavor was still muted. Switched gears and went to a Kanger ProTank and Roar juice because both had raving reviews but nothing improved and still getting a ho-hum muted vape with consuming 2 mils of juice a day. I bought an Itaste MVP but it died on the first puff and I'm waiting for the replacement. What am I doing wrong??? Is it the EGO batteries killing the flavor because the volts might be inconsistent? Need some help please!! This is frustrating...

Hi mkreed, stick with it, you are past the hardest part (the first few weeks)! EGO 650s are a good starting point, nothing wrong with them. I don't know how long you smoked, but you are just now past the detox stage. Drink more water? I know our mom always told us that, but it really does help. It took us a long time to be a smoker, keep on non-smoking.

I would like to know what resistance are those new coils you are using. If your juices tasted well, consistently, with your first clearos and the change occurred after you switched to new ones, it is possible that the new ones are higher resistance and you're just not getting any flavor because of that. Your batteries are 3.3v only, so if you use a high resistance coil, the flavor will be muted. Make sure you have some 1.8, 2.0 or 2.2Ω coils. I know that ProTank comes with a 2.6Ω coil which will not produce a satisfactory vape on a standard eGo battery. What resistance was the carto in your tank? Was it LR?

Good luck!

Agree with Katya - it's the ohms of the different clearos/cartos you're using. Zeus juice is 4 fruit flavors so your first clearos may have been of a higher ohm - 2.4-2.8ohms maybe. The 'replaceable head' ones harsh, etc. Fruit flavors fry below 2.2 ohms. Carto tank flavor but ho hum... likely around 2.2-2.4.... and the protank 2.6 - and new Roar juices? not sure which flavor... but if it was a stronger flavor - it needs lower ohms to bring out the flavor, although the Zeus juice should do well on the protank.

Also some 'eGo' led batts are VV or semi VV - 3 or 4 different modes. If that's the case and you were at different voltages, then disregard the above :D Basically, you need to know what wattages best bring out the flavor and you get it either by varying the ohms on a fixed volt batt or varying the voltage with a fixed ohm coil. OR a combination of the two :)
