My daughter/SIL in Mustang just put one of those in their garage floor last year. They love it. After that Moore tornado last year they were terrified. They leave the garage door cracked about six inches, then the cellar door cracked about three inches. Probably not as safe as completely shut, but....it gives a little ventilation.

And when you weigh the options "Blow Away vs. Hot".......I can do hot.
