So I finally got my XL Fluxomizers and literally can't go back to anything that's not a clearomizer! They're fantastic.

Things I like -

Convenience. Switching flavors in less than 10 seconds is great.

Filling is very easy and has literally zero mess.

Didn't have to do any modding whatsoever and it's been working with no issues! I also don't chain vape, and I've heard of the wicking issues, but I only take 3-4 draws then put it down for 5-10 minutes.

Things I hate and hope I can stop...

The Fluxomizer leaks an unhealthy amount into the drip tips I have on them. I have different ones than what came with the Fluxomizers, so would that make a difference? The drip tips I have are rubber-y and soft, and create a very tight seal so I don't understand why I'm sucking up so much juice. I have tried drawing the vapor very slowly and softly, but it makes no difference.

If I could stop this single issue I would absolutely loves these things! Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

The shanks on the drip tips that come with the Fluxos are a little bit shorter than the shanks on regular drip tips. If you're using regular tips, you can't push them in all the way, or they will compress the cup seal. When you use a regular drip tip, be sure to only push it in until the end of it just touches the cup seal.

Thank you, I was thinking it looked a little like it was pinching it. I'll try that and see how they perform!

Edit - Wait, do you mean push the drip tip down until it just touches the protruding little nipple? Still going to try it and see either way!

If you're using a standard drip tip, just push it down far enough so that the flat end of the drip tip touches the flat part of the cup seal. The nipple will be inside the drip tip.

You can try this but you need to have some of the old version of the fluxos around. From the new version remove the inner seal gasket and drip tip. Replace these parts with the black rubber seal (o-ring) and top cap from the old version. You might consider shortening the wicks however I am not entirely convinced that this makes any difference. This mod, if you have the parts available, transforms the fluxos in to a vaping fog machine. Works like a charm :)

The other thing you can try with the new Fluxos is remove the cup seal completely, and insert a standard drip tip (not the rubber one that comes with the Fluxos). When you insert it all the way, the flat end of the drip tip will sit snug to the top of the ceramic cup.

Thank you, kept me from happening to sound like a broken record again :D Just curious... I would like to hear what people don't like about that method. I'm new to this and maybe I'm sacrificing something this way. Why don't you do it that way Rule62? The only negative I see to doing it this way now is you can't leave it on it's side for a long time.

I do, sometimes. When I open a new Fluxo, I always try it "out of the box", with no modding first. If I get the slightest hint of burnt rubbery taste, I pull the cup seal out, and look on the underside. If there's any burn spot on the silicone rim, I trim it off with a hobby knife, and either reinstall it, or not, depending how lazy I am, or if I wrecked the cup seal while trimming, I may just re insert the drip tip all the way, without the cup seal. Either way works.

I've gotten them all to work great! Thanks for the tips.

Except for one.

I've already submitted a support ticket, but when I use it the coil turns a very bright orange/red and completely roasts the juice. Surprisingly it's not burning the plastic seal, but after 3 seconds of holding the button down it turns that color.

This is a serious defect that I hope can be alleviated soon!

The only time I've seen a coil go red like that is if there is no juice getting to the coil. That one sounds like a wicking issue to me.

It's just odd to me that it happens instantly... Even with dry-burning and cleaning, it takes quite a few 3 second bursts to get the coil hot enough to glow.

With this one, it's right away with a single vape. Within 3 seconds the coil goes insane and roasts the juices!

Look closely at the loops in the coil when you are dry burning... they should have a slight gap between each loop... if not they are shorting together and that can also cause what you are describing ( among other things )

i use them out of the box. i have 2 going right now. one with the black plastic driptip that come with them, and one with a pink(ya if its pink ill buy it LOL) acrylic driptip, just so i know the difference in flavors. acrylic one works just as good as the stock one. neither one touches the seal but are open enough for "nipple" to fit inside.

I think that might be the issue... Another one is starting to act up and when I looked at it the coils are wound up very tight. Actually they all are wound up very tight...

Any way to separate them without damaging anything?

I'm going to try to fix the one that's already messed up, and the one I'm using right now (Very hot vapor, not quite roasting it but close) and see what else could be causing it!

I just bought a pack of gotvapes xl clear cartomizers (2.8-3.0) and tried two of them on my Janty neo battery, and they both taste like plastic. I pulled out the top on one of them to see if there was anything burning, and didn't see any evidence of that. Still tasted like plastic with or without that top plug (silicone?). I'm assuming they all tast like this and maybe I'm just sensitive to it, but the tast of plastic kindofmakesmesick, so I don't think I'll continue with these. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the $17 Janty Neo Puromizers that don't seem to last as long as I'd like.

First let me mention that you need to make certain you are posting in the proper product thread... this thread is for the Fluxomizer but there are a couple of other clear XL sized carto's also and you description/name you used isn't on any of them... If you post in the wrong thread, you'll likely get suggestions for the wrong product. When discussing or asking about technical issues... the devil is in the details.

Try cleaning and dry burning your clearo... some of them also come with a primer fluid in them which many find nasty tasting.

He had posted elsewhere that he was having a problem with fluxos so I sent him to this thread :)
