I'm seriously thinking of buying an Ego T setup but I want to hear some feedback from Ego T lovers and Haters. Feel free to not sugar coat anything you've experienced with the Ego T. I need to either be broke of the idea or sold on the idea of buying an Ego T and I want your help. I currently own an Ego kit but if I'm going to buy just the atties and tanks I might as well just buy the whole kit for a few dollars more so please don't suggest buying just the atties and tanks to try it. I'm either buying a whole kit or nothing. thanks in advance guys and gals!

Here's a nice kit with some choices to make on size of battery, resistance of atomizer, and colors for two complete units. You can even choose a different configuration for each unit. I'm a big fan of the Ego-T Type B Large Tank system and think they are a top contender for medium priced PVs. If I was buying this kit, I would opt for the larger 1000 mah battery or at least one with the larger battery. I ran the Type B attys and large tanks for months with outstanding performance and no problems at all. The large tank holds 2 ml. I also like the Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer with 5 ml capacity on this unit. I obviously like the higher capacity, but I'd have a hard time telling you which one I prefer in terms of taste and amount of vapor. I mentioned the EMDCC because it's nice to have other great options for now or later. I gave you a link to prevent confusion with other Ego configurations. The Type B Large Tank represents significant improvements over previous models. Overall, I think this is a great kit at a reasonable price.

There's a lot of things that I love about the ego-t type B:
1. Ease of use
2. Holds 2ml of juice
3. Taste (there's only some flavors that the ego-t type B can bring out that others don't). Even though it sometimes can get a little muted. Which can be compared to a cartomizer that does the same thing but the ego-t is more "pure". If that makes sense.
4. No filler
5. Atties can last a WHILE if properly maintained
6. 1000 mah battery can last roughly 5 hrs before it requires it to be recharged
7. LOTS of vapor

Dislikes:
1. Can't use dark or thick VG with it since it clogs up the atties
2. Can sometimes leak if the cap of the tank gets old from constantly opening and closing it. Easy fix: buy more tanks or caps

I love the t-tank setup. i dont use it with the Ego...but same concept. i have had NO problem with wicking. One trick i have found to help with some complaints i heard of a burning plastic taste....once you puncture the tube remove the cap and twist off the little plastic tab(the one left after you puncture the tube) with a pair of tweezers.

Is there a middle? I can't say I love it after almost 3 weeks, but I certainly don't hate it. I like it.

Pros: Great batteries, tanks are super convenient.

Not good or bad: Decent flavor/TH/VP with LR atty. Cooler smoke with regular atty for less pain throat/chest for chain vaping.

Cons: Finicky bugger, requires constant maintenance (blow out atty, clean tube, etc to avoid leaking). Even with LR, not the best TH/flavor/VP. You will still need a drip setup to try out juices, as the tanks are big and need to be about half filled at least to work well. I'm using a 306 LR on an ego battery for this.

Recommendation: Overall I like it. Getting into a routine with it, in terms of blowing it out and doing all the little tips and tricks, I haven't had a leak since my first week with it. However, I am going to try a 510-t for my out and about atty setup. Less convenient tanks (.5 vs 1.1 or 2ml) but reported to do better on leaking and flavor/TH/VP. If this pans out, I will probably switch atty systems and use ego batts and with a cone cover.

IMO, tanks rule for convenience and economy and ego battery is a winner. No wasted juice, no throwing away something that is not cheap (like cartos). Tanks are small and super easy to store a few of in your pocket (I use a coin pouch). The battery can last almost all day (1000mah) no problem.

Edit: As a bonus, if you like the ego batteries, you can consider an ego booster for an easy, compact VV mod.

Bought one the other day because I wanted something I could fill and go for hours without having to mess around with. A MESS is what I got. Tank system worked well right off the bat, but 2 hours after using it for the first time, had juice running all down the battery. Put a replacement cap on and started over. 3 hours later, the same thing. Tank was inserted right, everything was the way it's supposed to be. But losing a ml of juice every few hours, popping new replacement caps on a few times a day, and having to wipe juice off of everything is too much of a pain. If I could get my money back I would.

I have the 510-t kit and hate it. Taste is extremely muted and tanks empty quickly. The attys do not get along with VG. I hate the maintenance of the attys... Blowing them 'til your 'blue in the face' to get the liquid out right before bedtime is not my idea of the beginning of a restful night of sleep. On the plus side, I didn't have any trouble with 'leaks'.

The only time I have ever had a problem with leaking is when the tube is not completely pushed down. For the first day i was using mine I was using it wrong. I never pushed the tube ALL THE WAY DOWN. There was a little ridge between the atty and the tank. When its inserted properly there wont be one. The first time you puncture the tube you have to push pretty hard to get the tube down in there.

Not saying anyone else has this problem but i know i did. I almost threw my new gear away but gave it one more shot and quickly realized my error.

Question for those others that have had leaks: When you're not using yours, do you store it laying down or standing on end? Same with while you're using it - do you point the battery down, or keep it semi-parallel to the ground? I typically always keep mine pointing down...just wondering if I stored it/held it parallel to the floor if it would have less of a chance of leaking.

Ugh, oh well. Too late to switch my order, I have a half dozen batteries and attys and a PCC coming in anticipation of the trial switch :(. Thanks for the info though!

In the first week and after I use the same "storage" method, I use an ashtray :). So its kind of inbetween standing and flat. For me, the main problem that was causing leaking was condensation. Now I stuff a tissue inside the tube before I put in every 2 tanks.

However, the core problem with leaking and the ego-t, I believe for me, is chain vaping. It doesn't like chain vaping that much. By this I mean killing a tank in an hour or so. When I do this, I find it key is to blow out the atty and make sure I am cleaning the tube more often.

Of course there are a hundred other things that I probably messed up in the first week (and I am sure are the cause of other people's leaking issues). So I think those above were my core issues. Pushing the tank all the way in, using silicone caps instead of the hard ones, aligning the air holes with the flat side of the tanks, the list is seemingly endless. Which is why I call them fiddly buggers :). Once you get the hang of it, and try out a LR atty, I think the ego-t is a great balance of convenience and performance.

That is unfortunate. I'm still on my 1st vaping well. Can't speak for the taste, I like the production of mine but taste is so subjective. As I posted in a HC thread, the ego-t is probably the most divisive product at ECF.

I look at it this way, if production is all you are after, the ego-t is never going to be in the top. If convenience is what you are after, then its a darn strong contender. I won't leave the tank system for my out and about, and as a frequent traveler, this is my priority. The times when I am home, I will for sure be playing with other things and you always need a drip atty, which a tank system will never be.

I might be in the minority but I really like mine. Bought the Type A about a week into starting to vape and didn't like it at all. No flavor and very harsh. Put the tanks away and used cartos with my ego batteries.

Tried the Type Bs a couple of months later and love them now. I think for a beginning vaper, if you are hesitant about tearing them apart and working on them, don't get em. I got 2 that worked great out of the box and one I had to work on. Once I decided I wasn't afraid to work on them I went back and fixed my Type As to work for me too.
My advice. Try the Ego-T. If you don't like it there's plenty of other options for the Egos.

I'd say that you got a dud because this is not typical performance. I would also be interested in knowing if this is a genuine Joye or a knock-off.

Tom- about being a dud, I'm thinking youre right. As for being genuine, I'm pretty sure it is. I bought it from one of the registered suppliers here who happens to have a brick and mortar store where I live. He's a stickler for not endorsing knock offs and has spotted stuff before that I've bought elsewhere that wasn't the real deal.
I think I just got a bad one.
