When unscrewing the tank I accidently unscrewed the top of the tank from the bottom. I don't call that a leak it's a mess.
I only had one mod and 4 tanks so I was forever unscrewing my tank and I've done that 3 times now..not fun! I finally got another mod so I'm not doing that as often, I just can't vape the same flavor for long so I am always switching. I am prob a perfect fit for dripping but I barely know what I'm doing now.

  • Check to see if coil is burnt. At the end of a coil’s life, juice can begin to leak through if it’s not vaporized properly. If the coil looks burnt, replace it. This should stop the leaking. (I have noticed more leaking from the 0.15ohm compared to the 0.4ohm coil)
  • Check to see if glass is chipped or cracked. If this is the case, replace the glass!
  • When you fill the tank, close the airflow holes. This creates a vacuum effect where juice can seep through when filling if they are open. Closing them off when filling the tank can stop the juice from flowing right through.
  • If tank is still leaking, kick your wattage up. The coil may not be getting hot enough to vaporize the liquid properly, which can cause leaking. Check the coil to see what the proper wattage is for firing.
  • Make sure everything is screwed on nice and tight! (be sure you can still unscrew everything without using other tools)
Thank you..I will try your advice. I never closed the airflow when I fill it.

I hope to be able to do that some day, instead of buying coils all the time.
I changed my coil in BB today as per suggestions of closing airflow, dry pull, etc..it was super clean and before even putting it on the mod or sitting it down..I stood there and stared at it. Little beads of juice started to show up on the silver band above the airflow so I am guessing bottom o- ring. OF COURSE the only thing that didn't come in the box. I put the little vape band right around the bottom between the glass and bottom to kinda band aid the problem until I can get to vape store. Inspection of the oring, it appears flawless but I don't know what else could make it leak there? I watched a few of those videos and vacuum comes up a lot.

I might suggest that the top cap is not completely screwed onto the top of the coil. That you actually have an air leak at the top of the tank which is causing liquid to flow out of the bottom.

Obviously do not crank down on the top cap but I would recommend that you make sure it is quite snug.

I am afraid it will take tools this time because I tried to make sure all threads were even and tight, but who knows...

Well don't crank down on it too much. You might also check the top fill gasket to make sure that it is sealing as well as the swinging drip tip door. Think of it like holding your finger over the top of a straw. If the seal is good no water falls out of the bottom. I hope you can get it fixed.

I'm using the RBA deck in a Big Baby Beast and just noticed a problem the top piece does not have an O ring holding the mouth piece in and very easily will fall off. So I guess during assembly it's easy for some parts to be missing. Maybe there is just a O ring missing somewhere.
Also water is thinner than the e liquid making it easier to find where the leak is. Put the old coil back in and put water in the tank after taking it off the unit.

Since I'm the OP of this I thought I would follow up:

No leaks. Heck I'm still rocking the first coil that I put in this bad boy. That's right folks, since 3/1/2017. My math shows that to be almost 12 weeks at 5 mls a day with no end in sight. Thats about 400 mls through one coil. I still don't carry this one in my pocket or trust it on its side but hey. I'm not complaining.

I've been using a BBB on an AL85 to carry in my pocket to work. Not a single drop has leaked. I'm getting long coil life as well, but I'm not using it all that much. Even during a workday I only step out for a vape every 2 or 3 hours. At the end of a week I still have about a quarter tank of juice left in. Once I'm home I move over to my other mods.
