Low ohm on a protank 2 rebuild

Ok I am having some issues and was wondering if I could get a little bit of help. I am using a mech and I built a .8ohm coil using 28ga wrapped on a 1/drill bit.
It is working good but it is burning the rubber grommet. I am just waiting on my rbas to get her but I was wondering what I can do to the protank?

I built .8ohms on my protank v1 and didn't have a problem burning the grommet. you might be pulling the leads too tight when you re assemble them. I pull mine just enough so the tool in the coil is sitting at rest in the head, not too tight not too loose.

You can "circumcise" the grommet ... helps keep it further from the coil

Hmm I think it's more the leads are burning it.

hmm idk, I have a .8ohm in mine and it doesnt burn it. still hate it on the mech though
