I am planning my first mod, and what I am using has existing buttons, so I want to incorporate the main button as the firing button. My only issue is the depth that I have to work with behind it. Does anyone know of some very low-profile buttons? (not the outside of the button, but the back where the wires are connected)

Im really not sure what would be better honestly. Probably a tact since it is going behind another button. I am using an old Motorola pager and want to use the existing corner button as the firing button.

This is my first mod, and I want to do this before I go to a DNA30 build. I am now wondering something else. This is not technically going to be a mech mod, since I will have some wires, but is it even going to work properly? My plan was to have a simple layout. 14500 battery, wire to switch, then to 510 connector, and obviously the ground.

For a load bearing switch you need something rated for an appropriate amperage. A tact switch would be used together with a resistor and a power FET of some kind, so that the switch only carries enough current to signal the FET to close the main circuit. Obviously you're now straying pretty far from mech mod territory :)

A pager will be a cool mod lol I forget almost what they look like. I have a few laying around here somewhere too..

You can make a switch with spring steel. I made a uber mini mod with an NJOY empty case, its pretty kewl and I used spring steel for the switch.
My fear was the glue may fail and if it did it would fire constantly, so i have it for display and maybe one or two toots every now and then..

I cut and used the spring steel on a 12v car lighter adapter. IDK you can maybe glue it with epoxy to the pager button; using the top deck as connection links but that area is uber tiny.. It can be done, the njoy enclosure is 100% smaller than a pager.. I have another mod thats VV and goes on my keychain but I used a fet . I think it the tiniest most powerful ecig in the world lol. Be careful when batt is in if working with it, I blew a hole in my finger with the njoy mod yep a hole --its so fast you cannot believe how fast when shorted..
