low res vs 5v

I just started vaping about two weeks ago and since have been smoke free!!!. Anyway, I started out with the totally wicked tank which was good but left something to be desired in the flavor and consistency department. because of this I decided to broaden my horizons, I then ordered a pack of cartos which I absolutely hated, a 5v PT and one regular atty with drip tip. I quickly realized that I'm going to be an avid dripper, I used to light ciggarettes every time I smoked so I'm not terribly inconvenienced by dripping a few drips now and then. My next step is to find a satisfying portable vape that can recreate my 5v drip tip which is by far my favorite.....so, I am looking for a bit of advice on my next choice, first off, the only thing keeping me from just getting a 5v device is cost, part of my justification for switching to vaping was to save money and at the rate I've been going thats not happening, and that is the only thing keeping me from getting a 5v portable device. Are low res attys close enough to satisfy that 5v urge for the day or is it just a slight improvement to the regular atty at 3.7?

Also, on the low res topic, how are the low res tank attys? I have not given up on my tank just yet, I still do puff on it from time to time and its really only marginally less flavorful than dripping, do the low res tank attys stand up to low res regular attys?

I know its a lot of info but any help that anyone could offer would be much oblidged.....thanks!!!

An LR atty is not quite the same as a regular atty at 5v, IMHO, but quite a bit better than standard atties at 3.7v. I would absolutely recommend an LR if you are satisfied to drip. From there, portability can be achieved pretty inexpensively in the form of a 5v box mod.

If you want a 5v mod and price is a problem then check out the "Old Goat". Sick prices @ 5v and it's a bottom feeder AND changing LED colors. I'm getting one next week. I personally use 306LR's. They do well for me. Great flavor and a lot of vapor. I haven't found a tank atty that has made me jump for joy yet but if you're really set on one gotvapes.com has this new tank called the TURBINE. Looks good and gotvapes is known for innovation.

The soft tip boge 2.0 LR cartos are so much better than the standard atties and much more convenient than the LR atties. I didn't try them for months even though everyone said they were good, because I had used standard cartos before and hated them. I would go only with those cartos though, any others I have tried were awful. That is a relatively inexpensive option. I was a dripper for many months with LR atties and I now prefer the boge cartos. I cannot vape with standard atties anymore and the LR atties are a great improvement over them. With that being said though, you may want to just invest in a 5v mod because you know that is your ideal way to vape. I have found in vaping that it is better to invest money in something you know you like initially so that you don't waste money on things that don't satisfy you.

Not sure what type of cartos you used, but the boge cartos really are excellent. Great flavor, and very easy to fill. They dont leak, and some of my juices will taste good in the carto for 4-5 days. Dripping in a box mod with an atty is a messy proposition, unless your box mod has a juice catcher. At least that was the experience with my bod as a dripper.

Check out the provari. What a machine, and there is a juice well, so dripping is easy, and the well catches any juice that leaks from the atty. Its an investment, but have seen many that love it.

Box mods are nearly 1 fourth the price though, so a good way to experience 5 volts cheaply.

Seriously, try the LR boge Cartos on 3.7 volts, and keep the carto wet, by topping off every couple of hours. Dry carto is not good.

A true 3.7v battery (preferably the AW IMR 14500, if you are going for a small size) will rock your world with a 1.5 ohm Cisco atomizer.
