I love the low res attys and clearomizers with my current regular Ego battery. To duplicate the vape I ordered lots more, taking the advice from veterans here to always have backups, and then backups to the backups. Then I figured I needed extra batteries, and I ordered the Ego Twist. Should I also purchase standard attys for use with the Twist. I sort of understand the theory behind power, the resisance ohms, and voltage, and I know I can dial in the Twist to get the vape I want. But is there any specific reason to use higher resistance attys and clearomizers with the Twist? For example, will I get longer life out of my attsy by using standard res at higher volts, versus lower res and lower volts? I think I just confused myself again with my question.

Funny, I just read an article about low res. vs higher res and battery life. It about comes out the sqame. But if you are running a Twist, you should give it a break and run 2.3 to 3 ohm resistance on it. Std. res for a 510 is 2.3 ohms as defined by Joye-tech. It would give you all the ranges of volts in the twist. You wouldnt want to run a 1.5 lr 510 on it as a Provari V2 will error out at 3.8 Volts with thaqt set up. Try some 2.5 ohm carto single coils or 2.3, 3.0 Ohm atties and good luck!

I use eGo-C Twist with 1.7ohm dual coil cartos EMDCC for many monthes. See no problems at all. Just don't even try to set voltages higher than 3.8-4.0 V.
My preferred setting is 3.7 V. Of course, with lower resistance the battery charge lasts shorter, but you will have the same with high resistance carto and, say, 4.8 V setting.
