Low resistance atomizers, am I doing something wrong?

I'm very new to vaping, been at it for a few weeks. So far I am very happy. It's been three weeks and I can feel the difference from smoking analogs! :)

I got a DSE ejoy and have been very happy with it as well. I bought some regular carts and used them for a while though I wasn't happy with the flavor or with the vapor production. I tried the atomizer and prefered it with the direct drip method. I then ripped out the wick and the bridge and was much happier with it.

Then I tried a LR cart. I bought five of them and tried them with a thin clear 100% PG juice. The same juice that I had used with the regular carts. All five of the LR carts just tasted burnt on my first puff. I saturated them just like I had done successfully with the regular carts but it didn't seem to matter.

Do you have to do something different with the LR carts than the standard ones? Thanks!

I don't know if you're doing anything wrong, you may have just spoiled yourself by getting used to dripping directly on the atomizer! However, many of us who *used to be* strictly drippers are finding that we can get an equal or better vape from the new dual coil cartomizers. The problem with many low resistance cartomizers is that they have very small coils that get quite hot--especially if it gets dry at all and you will get a very nasty "burnt" taste telling you that you need more liquid. The dualcoils avoid a lot of this problem because the 2 coils have more total surface area and so are less prone to get to dry and overheat.
