Atomizer and cartomizers have a current resistance. There are positive and negative connections. The higher resistance means more voltage is required to attain the same heat as a low resistance with lower voltage. Your ego is 3.2volts. I've used an ego as a beginner PV. I needed more and warmer vapor than the NR (normal resistance) atties and cartos could provide. I switched to Boge LR 2.0ohm, then to dual coil cartos. The dual coils read 1.6ohms, but that's because there are 2 coils running parallel which causes half the impedence or resistance.

Long story, short is that the lower resistance will provide warmer, fuller, more flavorful vapor. Do yourself a favor and pick up a 5pack of Dual coils. They can be refilled many times before needing a cleaning or disposal.

Driptips are used for their larger openings to allow direct dripping onto an atty. I, however use a driptip on my cartos for ease of removal when I need to top-off the liquid in the carto filler.

I hope this helps clear your confusion.

I love my eGo and riva batteries! (and I'm not a beginner LOL) I use them with the boge 1.7 and 2.0 cartos. I do have a couple LR 1.5 attys but I don't use them on these batts, I use them on the 3.7 bottom feeder box mod. You can get 15 boge 2.0 cartos for $20 shipped (and free drip tip, choose the metal or clear (the black plastic doesn't fit very well)) at crystalclearvaping using the boge carto on my ego or riva batt is a perfect vape for me.. but I also like the bottom feeders and am getting a vv bottom feeder soon!

this is solid advice.

i have never enjoyed a regular resistance atty or whatever on an ego bat. since day one i have used LR something or another. my go to setup would be a Boge LR (2.0 ohm) cartos on the ego bat. i also use a drip tip (510) with the cartos. you dont have to but to me it feels better. the dual coils cartos are also really nice.

many places carry Boge cartos and you can get them pretty cheap. i normally buy mine from Crystal Clear Vaping because they have a 3 pack(15 pieces) deal for around $20 shipped (free shipping and) with the 15 carto deal they also give you a free drip tip (or 2 if you want blk or wht) and a syringe and needle for filling (if you fill that way)

15 Boge Carto Deal (510)

if you only want 1 pack they have them as well but i normally get them from Joogler Juice (free juice sample w/ cartos) or Nitelite Vapor (great juice). they both have good prices for a single pack and you can pick up juice as well.

ive been buying my clear dual coils from Madvapes, Ikenvape, and Crystal Clear Vaping. you can buy singles from them if you want to try them. deejstuff also has a really good deal on them in a 5pk but they were out of stock last i checked.

of course you can also get LR 510 attys and use them for dripping or with carts. if you drip you will want a drip tip for sure (can use an empty cart if in a pinch)

good luck! let us know if you have anymore questions and what you think if you give LR cartos or attys a try.
