So I pulled the trigger and decided to upgrade my istick 20w and get the istick 50w.
Came fully charged so threw on my nautilus and started vaping and I have to draw really hard to get some vapor. I've tried different wattages from 7-18 and the results are still low vapor. Not no vapor but not as much as I should be getting. So I thought it was a bad coil or atty so I threw the same tank onto my istick 20w and worked perfectly with a ton of vapor.
Threw it back on the 50 and made sure the counter was counting and took a vape for 7 seconds with about half the vapor from the 20w.
Am I doing something wrong?
thanks
Brian

Yeah if sounds like something is wrong with it. I've used an istick 20 and my mvp 20w at the same wattage is more powerful. I really don't like the istick, they seem cheap. No offense to your purchase but I would probably be looking for a higher quality battery. I've used an istick 30 and it was much better than the 20, but they are pretty cheap feeling.

does it say Made in China on the package ? If so , you got your answer . Return it and request a refund and order it from somewhere else . My istick has been stuck in LA CA for 5 days now and idk what to do , and imagine if it has a problem like yours when it arrives , the rage is gonna be indescribable . Dont try to open it and fix it your self . I use to have an EGO VV mod some months ago . One day it stopped working and I though I will open it and fix it since I am decent at these type of things but not this one , buy the time I took the battery out , the battery had already "opened' and it lid it self on fire right away LOL . So just return , dont try fixing it .

What tank are you dripping with? Or What RDA are you using and what resistance do you have? 18W might just not be enough POWA for it. Turn it up! See what happens?! Come on! I double dog dare you!!

I'm using the aspire nautilus with a 1.8 coil. I know 18w is too high but I was just seeing if it would get better.

I actually threw the box out so I'm not sure but most of the stuff is made in China. I've only had it for a day so I wouldn't try to fix it myself. I've emailed them so will see what happens.

Please note that istick 20w uses mean voltage which is actually higher when you select your wattage. Istick 50w uses RMS voltage so it could be that the same settings on both devices are your problem. Try kicking up the 50w say..... 5w and see if you experience the same.

(I could have the mean RMS thing backwards.... But you get my point)

Yeah I knew about this. I had the wattage double on the 50w and it still wasn't preforming even close to the 20w

Could be a connection issue with the atomizer. What resistance value is the 50W iStick reading with your Nautilus attached?

Defects do happen, but we have two 50W iSticks in the house that have been rock solid.

My wife is the manager of a local vape shop where they did recently have a customer return a 50W iStick that "seems to be firing at half power". I suspect one of the batteries may have a loose connection, so I'm going to open it up and have a look.

It seemed like it would read a different amount each time. Sometimes 1.9, 2.0, and sometime 2.1.
As I pushed the wattage up it got better but still even at 20w it's not even close to what it should be.

Received my replacement yesterday and what a difference!!
Vaping like it should.
I have to say this was the first thing I've ordered from vapenw and they are great.
When I orginally ordered the 50w it was 11pm on a Friday night and I received it Monday from Washington state to New York. Then when I sent back the defective one it arrived to them on Friday and I recieved the new one Monday. Probably the best and quickest shipping I've ever experienced!!
I will defenitly be ordered from them again.
