Istick 20W false readings?

Its been a little over a week since i got my istick 20W. Ive been using a Kanger T3S tank on it and recently replaced the coil. The package said the coil has a 1.8ohm resistance but the Istick is telling me its 2.1. Is this normal for the Istick to be .3ohms off? Ive read that the wattage is usually off but I havent seen anything about false ohm readings.

Im vaping at 8w/4v (or so it says).

Im also getting what i think is called vapors tongue. Peanut butter is starting to taste like hot Cheetos..

It's much more likely the marking on the coil package is off compared to what it really is. A difference of 0.3 ohms is not unusual.

Don't get too hung up on the numbers, turn your device to where you get a good vape.

The iStick uses a different way to calculate the power output and many here (including me) vape at a much lower voltage / wattage with it.

If you really want to know if it's your device or the coil, you could always get a ohm check meter or use a digital multimeter - but I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Coils can sometimes be off from their supposed ohms - manufacturing isn't perfect.
And it's normal (I find) for a coil to change it's ohms up as it wears.
I don't think it's the istick.

Edit - you might want to try running a cotton bud or similar inside the threads on the istick - juice can get in there and that can affect the connection.

Was the new head tightened enough ?

Have you been vaping the same one flavor juice for a week ?

Yea its on there pretty snug. I took it off and put it on a few times and the ohms have stayed the same.

And yes, ive been using the same flavor for just about a week. Im on my 3rd refill.

It very well could be manufacturing. Its vaping fine i was just kinda curious. Might need to turn it down as well.
