So I have been looking and trying different tanks, clearomizers, VV & VW batteries, but for me at least, the trick, the hidden gem was a lower ohm coil. Last night I decided to try a 1.8 in my PT2 from 2.2 and 1.5 in my 30B from 2.1, and WOW. It was such a big difference. It feels like the airflow is so much easier pull, the flavor felt fuller, and it was much warmer. All around a much better vape experience. And I also had much more range adjusting my MVP.

Even my 900mah Ego, which I have not really used since i got my EGO, i have been able to use again since the lower ohm gives a much better vape. I am now going to buy all 1.5 ohm coils for my tanks and a much happier vaper!!

Has anyone else had this revelation?

Here's a great table to understand volts and ohms

I rebuild my own T3 bases, which solves the leaking issue as well (2.5 mm silica wick, 2 mm silica flavor wick works wonders). But I digress.

I bought stock bases of 2.4 Ω and those were nice. My rebuilds tended initially to be around 2.2 Ω and I found I really liked that.

I just tested a rebuild of 2.0 Ω and I like that even better. I'm considering trying for 1.8 Ω, but currently content enough that I don't feel any real need to do so.

But yes, I find I like the lower end of the resistance scale a little better. My device will handle anything down to 1.5 Ω, so I have a good margin remaining.

Same here, mines 10-11.5 and it hits the spot. 10 is original preference, but with some juices 11.5 isn't too bad, won't burn.

I also have been very fond of lower resistance coils.

Your sweet spot is 10-11.5 watts, but what about Voltage? Do you usually adjust that or a sweet spot for that as well. And does it vary with ohms? Meaning do you follow that chart linked above, or no?

Thanks

On VV/VW devices, you adjust one or the other. Most people that have been vaping long enough vape by taste.

I have developed my certain wattages just because usually 10-11.5 is all I need for all my juices.

But, when I vape with my provari I usually do around 4.2 or 4.5 regularly, some juices can take 5 though. Then again, I've had some thst need just about 3.8 to hit the sweet spot.

It really all depends on the juice, I believe that is the varying factor. Btw currently I'm using An aspire nautilus with 1.8 ohm coils... If that's helps! It can also be personal preference, I personally like a warmer vape.

dual coils, so that's 5 to 5.8 watts per coil

My sweet spot is 10 watts as well......... fully charged 18650 batt at 4.2 volts + 1.7 ohm carto just about perfect...........

Everything I've ever put in any clearo/glasso burns over 8 watts for me, mostly closer to 7. However I just got a an Igo-w and the coils I build myself seem to let me max out my MVP2 at 11 watts without burning.

Typically I've been happier with lower ohm coils. My mini egos work good on 1.8, everything over and the vapor and TH is nonexistent. I buy the 1.8 coils for my Davide BDCs and my Kangers. I've found they perform better for me than the 2+ ohm coils.
