The ZMax will be limited to standard ohm (over 1 ohm) builds due to amp limits and protective circuitry in the circuit board.
The ohms will not be limited with the K-100 since it is a mechanical mod with no circuit board. Personally, I do not recommend coil resistances below 0.3 ohm. Variances in ohm readers/multimeters and human error leave little room for error and safety. 0.0 ohm represents a dead short, which will send your battery into meltdown mode (thermal runaway) no matter how good a battery that you have.
You must own a multimeter if you build your own
coils. Coils must have their resistance (ohm rating) checked before they are fired on the mod. Coil resistance must not pull more amps from the battery than the battery has, or the battery will go into thermal runaway.

You must know the amp rating of your battery. This is critical. The battery must be a high drain battery. IMR (Li-Mn) with an adequate amp rating for the application that you are using it. For the most safety for sub ohm coils a 30 amp battery is strongly recommended.
