My MVP will fire as low as one ohm. It seems like there is some variance, some MVPs only fire down to 1.3, some folks have claimed to have devices that will fire slightly sub-ohm.

I started building RDAs on an MVP so I know where you're coming from. You probably want to start trying to build good single coils. It'll be much easier to hit a resistance you need. Once you've mastered that try doubles. If you have an Android phone download the Vapers Toolbox app, it'll help you make coils. There are also plenty of online calculators for the same thing.

I'd try starting around 1.8 or two ohms. That should be pretty easy with single coils. If you use 28 gauge wire and a coil diameter of about a quarter inch you're looking at a 4/3 or 5/4 wrap.

An MVP has a 6amp cut off, even if it fires something under 1.3 ohms, it will be putting your MVP in jeopardy. You are best off to stay around the 1.8-2 Ohm ballpark to get performance and not tax your mod to the point it frazzles your circuitry.

Also you can use an Ohms law calculator (if you google it you will get links to a bunch) to see that when you stay at 11 watts and have a low resistance build you are actually going to be operating at minimum volts. If you operate in voltage mode - your MVP will cap at 11 watts for power supplied since that is its maximum capability. Example - 1 ohm powered at 4 volts should draw 16 watts of power, but cannot.

Stayine a little higher will give you much better results on this type of device.
